[Bug 796131] Re: Can't add WebKit.WebView to a Gtk.Window

2011-06-17 Thread Martin Pitt
I tested this on current oneiric, and it works fine. So I'm closing this
for oneiric. Do you need this working on natty for an SRU? If it's
important, we can presumably find an SRU to fix it.

[Bug 798842] [NEW] logout user menu obscured by empathy (chat) menu

2011-06-17 Thread Kendall Gifford
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'll be attaching a screenshot showing the problem. The menu that is on
the far right-hand side of the gnome-panel at the top of the screen that
includes the logout and lock workstation functionality becomes
unavailable or obscured. The empathy chat (and broadcast accounts)
integration applet/menu gets double-rendered. About half way through the
standard rendering of the first or default section of this applet, the
corruption of gnome-panel occurs.

The corrupted section doesn't refresh or re-render or respond to
mouse clicks. Thus, I can't use the GUI menu there to lock my
workstation, log out, or shut down the workstation.

I'd love to provide further information (besides a screenshot showing
the problem) except that I've waited/lived with this bug for over six
months, always trying to see if I could reliably reproduce the problem.
However, it has simply been far to random and I've decided to report it
anyway. This problem existed on my previous lucid (10.04) install as
well.

[Bug 765847] Re: Send to Email is missing on Natty

2011-06-17 Thread Hillebrand Snip
I also had the exact problem. Tried the symbolic link trick. After this
the email option was added but it does not work. When evolution is
closed it does nothing. When evolution already was open it gets focus
but does not do much more.

Is there a workaround (by resinstalling something) while waiting for the
final solution?

[Bug 757247] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in start_thread()

2011-06-17 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
However, processing the crash report to get detailed information for the
developers failed as the retracer did not generate a useful symbolic stack
trace.
Please try to obtain a backtrace manually following the instructions at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace (as an
attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your
problem.

[Bug 756513] Re: Can't add items to the Ubuntu Menu

2011-06-17 Thread Sam_
Same error message on Oneiric, 64bit, Radeon.
Reproducable in Unity session.
Open alacarte from dash.
Right click on any application entry to view properties, e.g. gedit, tomboy,
xdiagnose, help, terminal, or use the dialog button on the right hand side.
Apport popup says everytime ... main menu was unexpectly terminated.
One could ask why alacarte is available in Unity session or why would a user
open it in the first place, maybe to look up an application cmd.

[Bug 694910] Re: Regression: patch to bug 539477 breaks Super+P keybindings

2011-06-17 Thread johnny
Fix for bug 539477 broke my usage of Mod4-P (incidentally, on a Lenovo
laptop). What's the reason for the Won't Fix status here?

This is extremely unexpected and annoying behavior. Stealing existing
user shortcuts and making them not configurable is unacceptable. Just
because some Dell/HP laptops have a certain behavior is not a valid
reason for having one of your most heavily used shortcuts in your IDE do
something else all of a sudden. Also consider it unacceptable to be
asked to change my existing, heavily day-to-day used shortcuts.

What is the argument for not making this configurable?

If I know that I am not affected by that BIOS bug it would be nice if I

[Bug 799019] [NEW] gnome terminal consisitently stops accepting keyboard input after using it for a day or two

2011-06-17 Thread Edward Ross
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

This always happens after using a terminal for a day or so. The behavior, to
me, looks like consistent with a some kind of a memory leak. All the
click-able stuff still responds but resetting the terminal has no effect. The
only workaround is to close the terminal and start a new one. The problem
seems to be related to the level of activity in the terminal - when I open
several of them at the same time, it is always the one being used the most that
craps out.
Any ideas? Is there anything I can do to help with this issue?
Thanks,
Edward
