I did not have the issue with Natty so far, but:

a) I am using Natty only on a test basis only, so from the usage I am
far from using it the same intensive way as Lucid.

b) It does not occur always - as I did not find so far a sure way to
reproduce, there is no guarantee that it is solved with Natty. For
example, something that right now comes to my ind: On my Natty I don't
have shutter running most of the time while on Lucid (my productive
work machine) I use shutter often and hence have it running more
often. On my test machine I even don't have a dropbox or Skype
installed while on my production machine is. - Could it be that one of
those applications have an influence to the problem?

Using Natty on a test machine only but I have seen it right on first
installation: After first testing it live I rebooted and then
installed - during install I had the same effect, but since second
reboot after installation it did not occur so far.

[Bug 602704] Re: Cannot click on window title when window is at top screen edge and mouse at screen edge

2011-07-11 Thread Harald
I am not yet on Natty but will upgrade some time soon. I can confirm
that the problem still persists on Maverick. Some more information. It
seem that all screen edges, not only the top edge have a problem.

If a window touches the left or right edge, the mouse curser will, near
this edge, first change to the resize curser as it hovers over the
window border. Then it is possible to move the mouse seemingly one more
pixel towards the screen edge and the mouse curser changes to pointer
again.

Moving the cursor against the screen edge should allow to operate
whatever window border/function is aligned with that edge.

Harald.

[Bug 674621] Re: Totem jumps to a random position when pausing after scrolling the video with mouse wheel

2011-07-11 Thread tulskiy
Yes, I still can reproduce this problem with totem installed in latest
Ubuntu 11.04. Although, it seems to be the same Totem Movie Player
2.32.0, using GStreamer 0.10.32. It appears rarely, but usually the
algorithm is this:

1) Use mouse scroll wheel to scroll video forward.
2) Let it play for several seconds
3) Pause video with either space bar, pause button, or mouse scroll button.
Note current time.
4) Start playback

in about 1 out 5 cases playback will continue after about a minute from
the pause point.

sorry if my previous explanation was unclear.

2011-07-11 Thread Pierre-Olivier Megret

If during the session Unity, I try to activate the laptop's screen: the
display is OK on the main screen, the panel and the indicators appear

[Bug 808666] [NEW] 'Does the display look okay?' dialog's text size keeps increasing forever

2011-07-11 Thread Brendan Donegan
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce

1.) Open System Settings Display
2.) Make a change to your display (e.g. change the resolution)
3.) Watch the 'Does the display look okay?' dialog

Expected result:

Nothing untoward

Actual result:

The size of the 'Does the display look okay?' text keeps growing every
second second until pretty quickly the window is bigger than the screen
and the buttons cannot be reached.

[Bug 808647] Re: evolution crashes after downloading x% messages for offline usage - exchange mapi

2011-07-11 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report
a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport
in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report
you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a
terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

the invalid is because that's a duplicate but I don't want to spend time
looking for numbers, I don't decline the fix if somebody wants to add a
lucid component to the fix released bug and work on fixing it for lucid
that's fine, I was just pointing that it's not as trivial as backporting
a fix from the current version

I observed that issue in general only after you first moved something
on the right side manually. Or basically, as long as you re-align your

everything works.

Alternatively it may not be, as this seems to be triggered by using an

[Bug 808697] Re: package python-gobject 2.28.3-1ubuntu1.1 failed to install/upgrade: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive

2011-07-11 Thread Ubuntu QA's Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when
trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following
command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory
corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a
memory test. If this does resolve your bug please set its status to
Invalid. Thanks in advance!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

masked by a bigger one.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or

issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May
you please test with that version and comment back if you're still
having or not the issue? Please have a look at

Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
