[Bug 1178826] [NEW] Evolution spamassassin integration not working 13.04

2013-05-10 Thread Kip Warner
Public bug reported:

For each attempt to scan an email for junk via spamassassin, the following is
noted in /var/log/mail.err:
spamc[7611]: connect(AF_UNIX) to spamd failed: Connection refused

I am using evolution 3.6.4.

My SpamAssassin appears to be configured correctly from what I can see
as well:

$ cat /etc/default/spamassassin
# /etc/default/spamassassin
# Duncan Findlay

# WARNING: please read README.spamd before using.
# There may be security risks.

# Change to one to enable spamd
ENABLED=1

# Options
# See man spamd for possible options. The -d option is automatically added.

# SpamAssassin uses a preforking model, so be careful! You need to
# make sure --max-children is not set to anything higher than 5,
# unless you know what you're doing.

OPTIONS="--create-prefs --max-children 5 --helper-home-dir"

# Pid file
# Where should spamd write its PID to file? If you use the -u or
# --username option above, this needs to be writable by that user.
# Otherwise, the init script will not be able to shut spamd down.
PIDFILE="/var/run/spamd.pid"

# Set nice level of spamd
#NICE="--nicelevel 15"

# Cronjob
# Set to anything but 0 to enable the cron job to automatically update
# spamassassin's rules on a nightly basis
CRON=1

The process appears to be running as well:

$ ps aux | grep spam
kip 2789 0.0 0.8 131616 32988 ?SMay09 0:09 /usr/bin/perl
-T -w /usr/sbin/spamd --socketpath /run/user/kip/spamd-socket-path-2WUQWW
--max-children=1 --pidfile /run/user/kip/spamd-pid-file-JWUQWW
kip 2805 0.0 1.3 141548 52784 ?SMay09 0:08 spamd child
root 18498 0.0 1.4 155436 57264 ?Ss 13:47 0:01
/usr/sbin/spamd --create-prefs --max-children 5 --helper-home-dir -d
--pidfile=/var/run/spamd.pid
root 18551 0.0 1.4 159100 60480 ?S13:48 0:00 spamd child
root 18552 0.0 1.3 155436 54692 ?S13:48 0:00 spamd child
kip 23006 0.0 0.0 16632 944 pts/10 S+ 14:28 0:00 grep
--color=auto spam

This was working fine in 12.04, but stopped working upon a fresh install
to 13.04.

[Bug 991873] Re: Some custom keyboard shortcuts don't function in new sessions

2013-05-10 Thread Sylvan Butler
I have long had a Super+L shortcut to lock the display.

In 12.04 it works when I first set it, but log out and log in or reboot
and it quits working. It is still listed, so I set it to something else
then set it back to Super+L and it works again.

My workaround, I have a script set to auto start when I log in. In that script
I have this and now my Super+L works when I need it:
# for some reason it seems to forget this binding after a reboot
# https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Keybindings
(
sleep 30
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys screensaver
'l'
) &

[Bug 1178795] [NEW] pango1.0 1.32 breaks -pedantic

2013-05-10 Thread Octavio Alvarez
Public bug reported:

Compilation of programs using Pango with -pedantic are broken with the
following error:

/usr/include/pango-1.0/pango/pango-font.h:380:33: error: ISO C restricts
enumerator values to range of ‘int’ [-pedantic]

The faulty commit:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/pango/commit/pango/pango-font.h?id=7274bd56db3ce2f02594687a307d22aa99c787c4

The commit was reverted later:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/pango/commit/pango/pango-font.h?id=8c1a6ef147edceb05921bb892d620bdced277662

It appears to be fixed in 1.32.6. Ubuntu Raring and Saucy have 1.32.5.

[Bug 993217] Re: Log in without password option breaks the authentication right of the specific user

2013-05-10 Thread C. Marques
This bug is mean, I was lucky that the option "Automatic Login" was
enabled, otherwise I wouldn't be able to login again as typing the
password did nothing, I don't know if it's possible to login as root
through the login screen, but I was able to do so through the su command
once logged in (automatically). Afterwards 'passwd' solve the problem.

With Ringtail-13.04 I can access Android 4.2.2 data on my Galaxy Nexus .
Does not show up like a USB device on my desktop but File Manager shows it
and can mount/unmount and copy data to it.
A big advantage for 13.04 over 12.10. Thanks to all the folks who made this

App Install Data seems fully translated :
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/+source/app-install-data-ubuntu/+pots/app-install-data/it/+translate

Is the issue still there ? If so, You can translate it using NightMonkey:
http://nightmonkey.ubuntu.hu/#release=raring&language=it&view=app&repo=main&isok=false&rownumber=100&sortpopcon=dsc&packagename=&page=null

In general, you can translate every package description using
Nightmonkey.

[Bug 1174936] Re: online-accounts-preferences crashes immediately when opened

2013-05-10 Thread Jeroen Hoek
I'm not using two-factor authentication and I get the same issue.

After going offline and removing my two Google accounts the crashing
stops, but I still get this message:

credentials-cc-panel-Message: cc-credentials-account-applications-
model.vala:156: No valid plugin found for application 'shotwell' with
account '7'

Before removing the previous two account it was '6'.

In seahorse the two accounts I have added are now represented by these
four entries:

Ubuntu Web Account: id 10-1
Ubuntu Web Account: id 10-3
Ubuntu Web Account: id 11-1
Ubuntu Web Account: id 11-3

There is something really strange going on with authentication. The
Google accounts fail to connect half the time. Removing and readding

[Bug 861493] Re: evince doesn't print duplex on duplex-able printers

2013-05-10 Thread Matt 6:27
My experience is similar, but have just learned something that may help
narrow the issue. It appears the duplexing will not work whenever I use
a media that is borderless (e.g., 8 1/2 x 11" borderless doesn't print
on both sides). When I change the setting for the same PDF to print
standard US Letter size, the duplexing works and it prints double-sided.
I can duplicate this effect. Hope this helps in the debugging.

I should add that this only occurs when using Evince. Acrobat Reader
and other apps will print double-sided with the borderless setting
engaged.

[Bug 1178697] [NEW] Regression - Can't "Open with" on Folders

2013-05-10 Thread Lonnie Lee Best
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 12.04, I could right-click on a folder in Nautilus, and its
context-menu provided an "Open With" option that was especially
convenient for queuing up a folder of media file into a variety of media
players (like VLC for example).

In Ubuntu 13.04, this option is missing and therefore requires
additional steps to achieve the same result:

(1) Launch media player
(2) Position Player beside Nautilus
(3) Drag and drop folder into media player.

This regression has removed a previously handy feature. It was a lot
easier to just right-click the folder and "open with" the media player
of my choosing. That "Open With" menu item would also remember every
application I've ever opened a folder with, and it would list those
previously-used-applications for an even quicker selection process. We
need to bring this back!

2013-05-10 Thread Shunsuke Akagi

ethernet immediately reconnects.

also affects ICQ accounts. I installed the ICQ backend for Empathy and
tried to create an account, but the account creation screen is just
blank. It does work for Jabber (which I guess is not based upon a
website log-in like google or facebook accounts).

Version is Ubuntu 13.04
