[Bug 1807265] Re: Screen locking issue
I would like to add that the bug occurs after swiping the notification screen up. The blank screen that usually shows with the password entry box shows but without anything on it and the applications bar on the left is still showing. After applying the most recent update the bug seems to be happening less often, and only when the screen locks after not being used until it timed out. I work remotely and use Remina, skype, slack and Chrome which are usually all open when the issue occurs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1807265 Title: Screen locking issue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screensaver/+bug/1807265/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1807540] [NEW] When an external monitor is attached some windows protrude onto this new monitor
Public bug reported: I have connected an external monitor to my notebook. The display of the new monitor had some windows protruding that were actually displayed in maximized mode on the internal monitor (GNOME Calendar and Tasks). It wasn't until I selected these windows that they retreated from the external monitor and were maximized only on the internal monitor. The windows should adjust their resolution immediately after the connection and be displayed only on the internal monitor. There are many cases where I don't want to show what's running on my internal monitor. [Bug 1807539] [NEW] Screen orientation is locked if external monitor is connected
Public bug reported: As described above. I'm using a Thinpad X1 Yoga. Normally the screen orientation changes when I rotate the device or operate it in tent mode, for example. Unfortunately, this does not work if an external monitor (via HDMI) is connected to the device. In this case the screen orientation is fixed, so that e.g. a change into the tent mode is no longer possible. It would be nice if the screen would still change its orientation despite the attached external screen. [Bug 1799947] Re: [radeon] Application windows in 18.04.01 go black but launcher is still visible
I saw what looks like the same issue under Wayland today. It was slightly different than what I had seen before in that I had one window (Chrome) that wasn't black. All others were. The issue started when I clicked to upload a file to a web page. The Chrome window went subdued, which it normally will do when it's launching the file chooser to select a file to upload, but the file chooser came up all black, and Chrome remained subdued and unresponsive (at least in that tab). Other application windows were also all black, including newly launched ones (tried another Files and also a Terminal window). [Bug 1034878] Re: gedit doesn't notice when an open file is replaced by an older version
We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time. Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017. Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do as I can't reproduce the issue with gedit 3.28 in Ubuntu 18.04. Alternatively, this bug report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time. Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.related Paul White [Ubuntu Bug Squad] ** Changed in: gedit (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1034878 Title: gedit doesn't notice when an open file is replaced by an older version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1034878/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1807489] [NEW] Icon View Captions in Preferences do not appear in a logical order
Public bug reported: Upstream bugs: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/343 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/766 Upstream Fix: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/commit/86080e646a81679761e09aee4071abf68a2dac3b Steps to reproduce: 1. Change to 100% zoom 2. Go to Preferences > Icon View Captions 3. There are three captions: First, Second & Third I expect to see that the 1st caption is displayed just below the file/folder name, 2nd is below 1st and 3rd is below 2nd. [Bug 1767454]
Git commit 55eb68ff63646050311f8b689752ad500246c916 by Harald Sitter. Committed on 07/12/2018 at 12:55. Pushed by sitter into branch 'master'. fallback to dnssd service discovery if smb listDir failed on root Summary: This elevates a problem with newer SMB protocol versions and smbclient not supporting discovery/browsing. when not using older (as in: ancient) protocol versions discovery doesn't work and smb:/ gives no results. By falling back to DNSSD based discovery we can ensure discovery of DNSSD remotes (namely linux and osx) is always working. Windows unfortunately does not support DNSSD and as such will not benefit from this mode of discovery and continue to be unlisted when using a protocol version without browsing support. CHANGELOG: When SMB Discovery is not working (protocol > SMB1) host discovery will now fall back to DNS-SD/Avahi/Bonjour.
