[Bug 1856276] [NEW] Alternating colors on odd and even rows on the Music screen.

2019-12-12 Thread Clinton H
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu 19.10
2) 3.4.3-2ubuntu1
3) On the music screen, odd and even rows should have different colors. Allow a
user to set a color for odd rows and a color for even rows.
4) The horizontal rows are all the same color.

[Bug 1855546] Re: Desktop freezes a while than logs out

2019-12-12 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To
help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps:

1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash
Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.

2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where
ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine.
Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please
send the links to us.

3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921,
reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1.

Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are
unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security
risk for yourself.

[Bug 1856251] Re: Going from apps overview screen to fullscreen'd app causes flash

2019-12-12 Thread Daniel van Vugt
I can't seem to reproduce the problem just yet (using 20.04 with Intel
graphics).

My first two ideas are:
 * Maybe this is related to Terminal's broken transparency (bug 561370)
 * Maybe it's Nvidia-specific.

That log message "Not using GLX TFP" is from the mutter compositor code.
It means the driver has decided to not use GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
which may or may not be related to this bug.

[Bug 1856251] [NEW] Going from apps overview screen to fullscreen'd app causes flash

2019-12-12 Thread Heather Ellsworth
Public bug reported:

I like some things like terminal to be fullscreen (F11). I've noticed
that whenever I look at what apps are running by tapping the Super key
and then go to any app that is in fullscreen mode (by either hit the
Super key again to give focus back to the app OR click the app I'd like
to focus on), there is a flash of the background. This is 100%
reproducible for me.

[Bug 1854403] Re: Need updated libimobiledevice and dependencies to access iOS 13 devices

2019-12-12 Thread Philip Langdale
At the time I filed the bug, I did not notice an updated build in focal
- it was still the same one as in eoan, but perhaps I was just not
paying enough attention. I will try it out. That version is likely to be
new enough to work, although I know there was an update to libusbmuxd
with a version and soname bump in november (although the functional
changes are already present in that git revision) and that would be
worth having to avoid long term confusion.

[Bug 1852183] Re: [X11] copy/paste (clipboard) is broken in Ubuntu 19.10

2019-12-12 Thread Adam Dingle
I think that the upstream bug

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/878

may not be the same issue.

This bug has "X11" in the title, and so it really refers to behavior
under X11. On Ubuntu 19.10, if I run an X11 session then
copying/pasting fails very often, especially in LibreOffice. For this
reason I switched to Wayland several weeks ago. Under Wayland,
copying/pasting still fails occasionally, but far less often. I saw
copy/paste failures dozens of times per day under X11, and now they
happen maybe once or twice per day in Wayland (with intensive use of
LibreOffice in both cases).

In a comment in the mutter bug linked above, Carlos Garnacho wrote

This is wayland specific.

So it is unclear to me that the patches linked there (which are to both
GTK and mutter) will fix the problem in X11. Has anyone tried to
reproduce this copy/paste problem after applying these patches under
X11?

[Bug 1856196] [NEW] Lower the snapd recommends to a suggests

2019-12-12 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Public bug reported:

* Impact

libsnapd-glib is a small library used to talk to snapd. It's currently
used by gnome-software but has been added to pulseaudio in bug #1781428.
It currently recommends snapd but the library works fine without it and
there is no reason to pull snapd from library clients.

* Test case

$ sudo apt install libsnapd-glib1

-> snapd shouldn't be pulled in

* Regression potential

That's only a depends change, snapd isn't going to be pulled in when
installing the library anymore but that's wanted
