[Bug 2047579] Re: gnome-software unuable to install updates (Prepared update not found)
Use synaptic and search on "update-manager". I found three packages including update-manager requiring an upgrade from 1:22.04.10 to 1:22.04.17. I marked the 3 packages for upgrade and applied changes. I then opened Gnome Software again and refreshed updates. You have been subscribed to a public bug: Ubuntu release: 23.10 (Likely) Related Package: mutter 45.2-0ubuntu2~really45.0 (updated from 45.2-0ubuntu1) I am running Ubuntu 23.10, and using GNOME/X11. A few weeks ago, my Intuos CTH-680 tablet stopped working correctly. Every time I tried to use the stylus in a program that considered it to be anything other than a pointing device (e.g., Xournal++, Krita, etc.), it would fail to work, and the mouse pointer itself would disappear until I Alt-Tab-switched into a program to regain functionality with my normal mouse. This was the issue addressed by the fix to bug #2043027 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2043027); I applied that fix by updating the mutter package to 45.2-0ubuntu1 using aptitude, and it resolved the problem. However, the issue returned yesterday. I tried updating mutter to the latest version (45.2-0ubuntu2~really45.0), but the problem persists. I commented as well in the thread for that bug, but as it was closed, I thought it might also make sense to file something new. [Bug 2046574] [NEW] Printer grey scale/bw option is not available
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I was using 22.04 LTS until last week(8 Dec 2023). I upgraded to 23.10 and noticed a difference with the printing options. In 22.04 (as far as I remember), There was Monochrome, Grey scale and Color. I used to print using grey scale and it used to print in grey scale. After upgrade to 23.10, There is no grey scale option. Instead there is Color, Auto Monochrome, Monochrome and process Monochrome. I tried all the monochrome options and all of them printed with color. Even when I checked preview it was showing color with these options selected.
