[Bug 2026194] Re: When clicking on some maximized or tiled windows, focus on roughly the lower quarter falls to the window behind
Ok I think this is only happening when scale on the display is set, for me it was 150%. The scale also affected some other windows which lost borders and resize didn't work for them. After changing back to 100% the issues seems to be gone but I really want to be able to scale my screen -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2026194 Title: When clicking on some maximized or tiled windows, focus on roughly the lower quarter falls to the window behind To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/2026194/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 2026194] Re: When clicking on some maximized or tiled windows, focus on roughly the lower quarter falls to the window behind
I'm having this same issue on Ubuntu 24, All IntelliJ IDEs are affected including Android Studio (which is based on IntelliJ i think?) Didn't notice with anything else. [Bug 2037577] [NEW] [mantic] dconf parameter color-scheme in /org/gnome/shell/ubuntu/ has no effect
Public bug reported: When the dconf parameter color-scheme in /org/gnome/shell/ubuntu/ is modified, the GNOME Shell theme remains in the default state, i.e. it switches between light and dark together with the ‘Dark Style’ toggle. It is impossible to set the Shell theme to be unconditionally dark or light. To reproduce: 1. Run command gsettings set org.gnome.shell.ubuntu color-scheme 'prefer-dark' or modify the parameter color-scheme in /org/gnome/shell/ubuntu/ to be equal 'prefer-dark' via the Dconf Editor GUI. 2. Make sure that the ‘Dark Style’ toggle is deactivated in the quick settings. What should happen: The Shell dialogs like the quick settings menu and the calendar-and-notifications menu should be rendered in dark style. What happens instead: The Shell dialogs are still light. [Bug 1453514] Re: Highlighted text in pdf files is not shown on prints
In fact, there seem to be multiple issues with printing annotations (at least text highlighting). This is about Evince 3.36.7 and Okular 20.08.2. 1. If a highlighting annotation is created in Evince, it is visible when the file is opened with Evince, Okular, or Xournal++, but it disappears on printing to PDF file from any of these programs, and it disappears on exporting to PDF from Xournal++. (I believe it also disappears on actual printing.) 2. [Bug 796346] Re: part of desktop background image on top of gnome-panel
No statistics, unfortunately, but I think it's a Firefox related problem. My impression is that of all the applications I use (here are some of them: Keepassx, Xmind, Quanta plus, GIMP, Gedit, LibreOffice Writer, Poedit, Filezilla) only Firefox has caused memorable bug occurrences. :-) Will keep an eye on the situation. Further to my previous message: 1. the missing fragment of the workspace switcher was NOT under just closed context menu — it was far away from it; 2. the bottom panel redrawing also takes place if a new item appears in the workspace switcher. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/796346 Title: part of desktop background image on top of gnome-panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/796346/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 796346] Re: part of desktop background image on top of gnome-panel
Since it’s been mentioned, I have noticed that fragments of Firefox context menus sometimes disappear (Linux Mint Katya, Firefox 7.0.1). Sometimes a part of the bottom panel disappears when a Firefox context menu is opened. An interesting instance of the bug occurred while I was writing this. I opened Firefox's context menu and a fragment of the workspace switcher disappeared and reappeared only after I closed a Nautilus window from the window list applet on the bottom panel. @ bobbib: as promised, I tested «gnome-panel --replace &». In my case it also works fine. @ bobbib: maybe it is, I'm not experienced enough. :) I just found the solution made sure it worked for me and started using it and was happy with it until I got your message. :) Virtual terminal switching worked fine, thanks. The same bug occurs on a machine running Linux Mint with Gnome and the Ambance theme. "killall gnome-panel" helps to solve the problem. [Bug 827038] [NEW] gnome system monitor hangs after the "processes" tab is clicked on
Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and gnome-system-monitor 2.28.1-1ubuntu1. I expected to see the "Processes" tab contents after I clicked on it. Instead, the application hung: other tabs, menu items and "Close" button of the window didn't respond to clicks, the charts froze. The issue occurred only after clicking on the "Processes" tab: the rest of the tabs as well as menu items didn't cause the hanging. The application could be forced to quit with the help of "Force Quit" button, the "killall" command and on system prompt. I could only relaunch the monitor after closing it with the "killall" command. The bug reoccurred after every system restart. The same bug was caused by ticking "Solaris Mode" in the "Processes" tab of the configuration interface. The rest of the check-boxes didn't cause the issue. Complete re-installation didn't help.
