[Bug 1866134] [NEW] Yaru icons are not shown in Gnome-Software
Public bug reported: When an icon theme different from Adwaita is selected, the icons from that theme are not shown in Gnome-Software. This is confusing for user because they now see two different icons for the same application (see the screenshot upstream). It would be great if Gnome-Software would look for the icon in the selected icon theme. [Bug 1632027] Re: New Document feature missing from Nautilus 3.20+
I'll add my frustration here as well and possibly a solution. I think we all agree that this is a basic feature and removing it results in a horrible user experience. The key here is IMHO the lack of discoverability. I wouldn't call myself a beginner user and yet I had no idea that the disappearing "New document" in the contextmenu was related to the Template folder. Anyway, I’ll be sad to see yet another LTS shipped where this isn’t fix, so what do you think about this simple solution: If the Templates folder is empty, a submenu entry is added in the contextmenu, which simply is a link to the Template folder. And ofc as soon as you put something in the Template folder, the user sees only that in the submenu. We already have a help text inside the folder and a "learn more..." link. It’s not ideal, but it increases discoverability which is key here. What do you think? This would need to be a patch since upstream don't want it :/ ** Attachment added: "template.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1632027/+attachment/5331210/+files/template.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1632027 Title: New Document feature missing from Nautilus 3.20+ To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1632027/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 229245] Re: No logout sound is played on both Gutsy and Hardy final release versions
I can confirm this for Intrepid Ibex. How annoying - if it is intended that you can't add a log-out sound, the option should be removed! Or perhaps someone could hack it in such a way that, when a user adds a logout sound, the system shutdown settings will change so the sound can be played.
