[Bug 53516] Re: Incorrect 5.1 audio when playing DVD
Alright, I'll confirm this and pass it on. I doubt anything regarding this has changed since you last checked, so we'll see what happens. ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Assignee: Matt Sicker = (unassigned) Status: Needs Info = Confirmed -- Incorrect 5.1 audio when playing DVD https://launchpad.net/bugs/53516 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 94048] Re: [feisty] Slow gnome application startup due to /etc/hosts misconfiguration
Does anyone know how to time how long it takes for an application to launch? I know how to test how much CPU time an application takes to execute and halt, but nothing about measure the CPU time until the program spikes down in CPU usage or similar. Also, is this a problem with KDE applications as well? I doubt this is just a GNOME problem, so we need more applications tested. Since this was recently dugg on digg, that should help us get like 3000 more Ubuntu users to try this out. ;) -- [feisty] Slow gnome application startup due to /etc/hosts misconfiguration https://launchpad.net/bugs/94048 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 53516] Re: Incorrect 5.1 audio when playing DVD
Oh, that was an example filter. You're supposed to replace the values like channels=6:2:0:1:1:0. The first value is the number of channels to output (6 in this case), the second is the number of routes (i.e. channels we're going to move), then the next values are pairs of values: first the original channel number, then the destination channel number. In this case above, we flipped channels 0 and 1. Although, if the problem only exists in totem-gstreamer now, I'm going to classify it under that program. Could you try out using a latest version of gstreamer and totem? It might have already been fixed, but who knows. :P ** Changed in: Ubuntu Sourcepackagename: None = totem -- Incorrect 5.1 audio when playing DVD https://launchpad.net/bugs/53516 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
