2014-03-23 Thread Pasi Tarhonen
I do not get Nautilus to crash with ANY zero length file like:

1. touch test, touch test.doc, touch.ppt...

2. open directory that contains these zero length test files --> no
crash

But if filename (extension) makes file to be media type then crash
happens.

3. touch test.flv --> crash

4. touch test.mp4 --> crash

5. touch test.mp3 --> crash

6. touch test.avi --> crash

and so on, the crash is somehow related to media file "preview"
generation I think.

Same folder that causes Nautilus to crash can be view by remite machine
over SMB, because Nautilus do not show thumbnails by default on remote
folders.nn

I have noticed that nautilus crash is related to the thumbnailing
process that causes nautilus to crash when trying to process 0 lenght
.flv file.

Re: [Bug 548341] Unlocking keyring for wifi asks me password up tp 4 times, every time I log in.

2011-07-22 Thread Pasi Tarhonen
Hi Pedro,

I have this issue still alive in my mom's computer (up to date Natty
with Unity interface). If you like I can send you dmesg -logs,
configuration files etc.

One thing that I have noticed is that the gnome-keyring-daemon has
several instances (now 6 instances, which was more or less the number of
password prompts when login in today) in my mom's laptop instead of one
I have now in my own laptop (which I deleted Default keyring and
switched all my keys under Login -keyring).

BR,

Pasi

Re: [Bug 548341] Unlocking keyring for wifi asks me password up tp 4 times, every time I log in.

2011-07-13 Thread Pasi Tarhonen
Thanks to feedback for my bug report.

The bug is still issue on Natty. I just deleted few weeks ago my Default
keyring with all keys and changed "default" to be login keyring (e.g now
all my passwords for example to the wifi are grouped under login
keyring, not under Default -keyring.).

Now I do not need to enter password for the keyring 3..4 times anymore
by using this workaround.

Pasi

[Bug 548341] Re: Unlocking keyring for wifi asks me password up tp 4 times, every time I log in.

2010-11-12 Thread Pasi Tarhonen
I have two installations of 10.10 (i386 Acer AOD250 and amd64 DELL D630)
which suffer of the same bug. Only difference is that Maverick doesn't
offer any "Automatically unlock this keyring whenever I'm logged in"
-option. I don't mind to enter password for keyring passwd once after
every boot up, but from two up to four times is too much.
