[Bug 100059] Re: evolution-exchange hangs when autocompleting mail-addresses
My situation is the same but worse, it hangs and blocks all inputs to the UI. The mouse pointer moves and system monitor applet updates but mouse clicks and UI specific keyboard commands don't work. I am getting the exact same error as Edmond. I am brand new to Linux and Ubuntu, less than 8 hours and in initial testing on my PC of 9.10 for 64 bit AMD. The reason I tried to look in "computer" is because my legacy floppy drive is lit up all the time and I was troubleshooting that problem. Not sure if they are related. For example if you have a folder with lots of files and you want to browse just a particular pattern. E.g. say you are looking at /home/me/project that has a big python project in it and I wanted to just see the .py files. Then instead of just having "/home/me/project" in the goto bar I want to put "/home/me/project/*.py" and Nautilus would only show the .py files. [Bug 375253] Re: Nautilus crashes after i click on the Computer icon from the Palces Menu in Ubuntu 9.10
I am glad to troubleshoot, though I may need some beginners help with syntax and navigating this OS in order to do so. -- Nautilus crashes after i click on the Computer icon from the Palces Menu in Ubuntu 9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Only work around is to alt-tab-f1, log in command line, kill the evolution process, and alt-tab-f7 back to work system. [Bug 77120] Re: Screen lock always says "timed out" after sleep
Is there anyway to turn off the resume password requirement? Makes it difficult for guests and my four year old to use the computer unless I leave on all the time. Which I prefer not because of energy usage and noise. If so then I propose making that function part of the root set power management settings. -- Screen lock always says "timed out" after sleep https://launchpad.net/bugs/77120 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 97679] usb disk mounted as first logged in user
Public bug reported: Using Feisty beta. I'm using the switched user feature for multiple users in my house each keeping logged in so everyone can have their active desktop. The first person who logs in owns all the devices. So if I switch users to my desktop from daughters then plug in my camera to download the pictures it tells me I don't have permission. If I look at the mounted drive it's owned by the first user on the system.
