If you are starting it, how should it start in a different workspace, and close all FF, start xchat, click on a link. close all FF well that really does not make sense in this context open FF on lets says workspace 4, open xchat on workspace 2 (kde) and click on an link inside xchat. FF moves to the current workspace. I just tested the same with Thunderbird and Akregator - it doesn't happen from inside those apps. so maybe it is more xchat related... ? -- Firefox-3.0 window moves to current workspace https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175904 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 91468] Re: [Feisty] problems with vim and shortcuts
upstream update: This seems to work for me now. Fixed? . . . Same here, but I forgot to report back here ... sorry. :-/ Seems like it was a vte bug after all, as gnome-terminal-2.18.1 didn't fix it, but the latest vte-0.16.8 did - yeah! Upgrading to vte-0.16.8 brought back the Ctrl+Up/Down/Left/Right functionality in mc immediately, and the Shift-Fn function keys also worked again after relearning them in mc (F9 - Options - Learn Keys). Big thanks to whoever found and fixed that annoying bug - gnome-terminal is now finally usable again with mc! :-) as it seems in vte-0.16.8 the bug is solved. [Bug 93381] Re: [Feisty] Name column width in nautilus
Upstream update: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419343#c5 I've committed a patch that restores the old column autosizing behaviour, while keeping the ellipsization of the column. I think it's the best compromise right now, since I think the intent of the change was not make the initial filename column size hard-wired, but to get ellipsization applied to it. I know the old behaviour is not always ideal (if you have a folder with single long filename for example), but nobody really complained about it. The expandable-column-based approach looks promising, but behaves quirky with a stock gtk+ as long as bug 316087 is not fixed. 2007-08-01 Martin Wehner [EMAIL PROTECTED] * libnautilus-private/Makefile.am: * libnautilus-private/nautilus-cell-renderer-text-ellipsized.c: * libnautilus-private/nautilus-cell-renderer-text-ellipsized.h: * src/file-manager/fm-list-view.c: (create_and_set_up_tree_view): Use a custom cell renderer for the filename column which applies ellipsization but reports its size based on the actual width of the text to be rendered. This restores the original column autosizing behaviour while keeping the ellipsization. [Bug 33002] Re: logout dialog UI objections
I also have problems with the logout window. I have tried that: People who want to use the upstream dialogs are free to do so, you just have to change /apps/panel/global/upstream_session key to true with gconf-editor But this works only when clicking on the logout button. I use a shotcut to logout. The second and more confusing thing to me is the little save the session box disappeared on logout window. I get used to set up my session as i liked it, then loged out and saved it. How do i do that now? Here is a quote from the online Help window for Setting Session Preferences: Automatically save changes to session: [...] If you do not select this option, when you end your session the Logout Confirmation dialog displays a Save current setup option.
