[Bug 515878] Re: Button to switch between breadcrums and addressline not available
There is a key in gconf to control this behavior, /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location_entry. I unchecked it on mine (buttons instead of text in put) and could change back to text input with CTRL+L, but couldn't go back to the buttons with CTRL+L. Also, changing to text input with CTRL+L has no effect on the gconf settings, so it will default back to the previous setting when restarted. In my opinion, it's not so much a bug as an aesthetic annoyance. ;) However, it would be nice to at least have a setting in Preferences. -- Button to switch between breadcrums and addressline not available https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 316959] Re: Music folder appears twice in Rhythmbox
This seems to be due to rhythmbox adding the users music folder to the bookmarks when opening the file chooser. If the line gtk_file_chooser_add_shortcut_folder (GTK_FILE_CHOOSER (dialog), rb_music_dir (), NULL); is removed from widgets/rb-dialog.c, the problem goes away. If the Music bookmark isn't already set, it is placed in the file chooser window and appers only once. I don't really know if there should be a check to see if the folder already exists, and I don't know if it should be done by rhythmbox or gtk+. I think this is more of an issue with gtk than rhythmbox, as any application adding a bookmark which already exists would cause the same problem. -- Music folder appears twice in Rhythmbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/316959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

here's a copy of compiz.desktop that does bot cause a crash. [Bug 315983] Re: /usr/share/applications/compiz.desktop, maybe other .desktop files, can crash nautilus
I messed around with the source package, nautilus-2.25.2/libnautilus- private/nautilus-link.c to be specific, and made a change that seems to fix the problem. In the function nautilus_link_get_link_name_from_desktop, where type is checked in order to assign an icon (at least that's what I think it does) I added a line to first check to see if type == NULL. I suppose the problem may have been trying to copy a string which did not exist. I have attached the modified file. I am not a programmer by any means, so there is probably a better way to fix the problem, but maybe this will help. btw, if there is a better way to do this, please tell me.
