[Bug 1239265] Re: Opening any settings page resets displays

2013-10-23 Thread Ursula Junque
Hi Seb, my video driver is intel (xserver-xorg-video-intel), and this
problem might be related to bug 1239186. I'm not sure though.

The weird thing is that the displays reset whenever I access any of the
ubuntu settings, so maybe it's a bug in my driver combined with some odd
behavior in gnome settings. Here are the contents of gnome-settings-
daemon.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6290019/ .

Please, let me know if there's anything I could do to test it.

Thanks!

[Bug 1239265] Re: Opening any settings page resets displays

2013-10-12 Thread Ursula Junque
** Description changed:

Most times when I open, for example, sound settings (from the indicator
menu or from the dash), my display configuration resets and all my
monitors are turned off, leaving only the laptop screen on, as if I went
to display settings and choose to turn off both monitors. If I click in
"Detect Displays", the previous configuration is restored automatically.

Also, every time I spend enough time away from the computer and the
displays turn off, when I come back only the laptop display is on. I
have to open display settings and it automatically sets back to what it
was before, I don't even need to click on "Detect Displays" in this
- case. So it seems Ubuntu is having a hard time to remember my display
- settings, and it seems to load this wrong default every time any
- settings are called, causing the displays to turn off.
+ case.
+
+ Note 1: When I'm normally using the computer and I open the settings and
+ get this error, if I close it and open another settings in the next 10
+ minutes or so the problem doesn't happen.
+
+ Note 2: This problem doesn't happen if I merely lock the screen. It
+ needs to become idle and the displays to turn off (it seems).
+
+
+ So it seems Ubuntu is having a hard time to remember my display settings, and
it seems to load this wrong default every time any settings are called, causing
the displays to turn off.

I have a X220 in a minidock, with two monitors plugged in the DVI ports. The
configuration resets most times I open any settings, and this happens whether
I'm with both monitors on and laptop display off, or only one monitor and the
laptop display both on.

[Bug 955955] Re: Keyboard shortcuts get reset at every login

2012-09-26 Thread Ursula Junque
Hi,

This is happening but not at every login: I'm not yet able to trigger
the problem consistently, but last time it happened I restarted lightdm
to make unity work again and when I logged in the shortcuts were gone.
This is happening at least twice a week since I upgraded from Precise to
Quantal, and I can confirm the same problem happens in another different
machine, also recently upgraded to Quantal. I have defined a shortcut
to open xterm (another than the Open Terminal one), and it persists, but
all the others I customized, such as moving between workspaces or toggle
maximization state are gone.

Please, let me know if I can provide any other information.

Cheers,

Since I upgraded to quantal this specific crash happened to me a couple

became grey and then crashed. Please, let me know if I can provide more

I'm investigating bug 872044 and I'd like to know what operating systems
your mobiles are running. I've tried to send files to an E71 (symbian)

[Bug 693385] Re: empathy shows offline contacts when I ask it not to

2011-01-03 Thread Ursula Junque
Now I see that the problem happens when I use space bar to expand groups.
Independently of the "Offline contacts" being checked or not, it shows all
contacts, online and offline. Ctrl-h doesn't work to hide them.

It seems also that, in this situation, when empathy updates the buddy
list all groups expand again, even if I close them all manually.

[Bug 693385] [NEW] empathy shows offline contacts when I ask it not to

2010-12-22 Thread Ursula Junque
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

I'm using Maverick, Empathy 2.32.1 (2.32.1-0ubuntu1).

When I open empathy, it displays only online contacts, with most groups
collapsed. When I click the arrow to expand any of the groups, it
expands all groups displaying all contacts, online or offline.
"View->Offline contacts" is unchecked. If I check and uncheck this
option it just ignores me.

** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 321009] Re: 'Broken Pipe' in Evolution email

2009-01-25 Thread Ursula Junque
Hi Ken,

This bug is related to evolution/Ubuntu, not to Launchpad itself. I'm
marking it as Invalid for Launchpad, and reassigning it to evolution.

Have you searched for a clue on Ubuntu answers
(https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu) or Ubuntu bugs
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu) or even Google? It may be helpful.

Cheers!

Úrsula

[Bug 320370] Re: Pidgin pop-up doesn't work on ubuntu 8.04-gnome

2009-01-23 Thread Ursula Junque
Hi Bartolomeo,

When having problems with Ubuntu, you should search for bugs or file a new one
on Ubuntu bugs (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu). Since you reported this bug
for Launchpad itself, I'm marking it as Invalid here.
About the problem: I've searched amongst Ubuntu bugs and didn't seem to find
any similar problems. So I assigned this bug to gnome-panel, but I'm not really
sure it's a real bug or just a side effect of your dist-upgrade from 7.10 to
8.04.

Have you searched Google or Launchpad Ubuntu answers
(https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu) for people with similar problems?
If not, you should give it a try! :)

Cheers,

Ursula
