[Bug 260918] Re: needed: libv4l and associated application patches (or gspca stopped working in 2.6.27)

2011-01-07 Thread dolphinaura
libv4l support depends on the Adobe Flash Plugin itself, which is
closed-source propriety software. As a result, please refer to the adobe
bug report mentioned above instead of reporting against the flash plugin
tools.

** Changed in: adobe-flash-plugin-tools
   Status: New = Won't Fix

[Bug 626826] [NEW] Nautilus NETBIOS share resolving

2010-08-30 Thread dolphinaura
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Nautilus currently requires that the NETBIOS name of the computer be
resolved before it displays the computer.

This is a HUGE issue because many users cannot resolve the address due
to the fact that...

1. Some routers simply forward DNS requests to the ISP.
2. No Winbind installed. (no local resolver)

I believe that we should simply display the computer and its shares, if
we can find its IP address. This will remove the need to install winbind
and/or having a local DNS server.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Description changed:

I've actually never attempted to run Rhythmbox on this PC before, so I

[Bug 533436] [NEW] Gnome-Display-Properties does not regonize monitor

2010-03-06 Thread dolphinaura
Public bug reported:

The Dell SE198WFP is not regonized in the display properties. Instead, it is
shown as a unknown monitor:
This may not be a big problem, and may be a wishlist, but it is not a lot of
effort to add a monitor to the detection list.
From http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8926208#post8926208

As you can see, nvidia xconfig regonizes the monitor as a Dell SE198WFP
as the OP says, it shows up properly in 9.04, but does not show up properly in
9.10
