[Bug 519223] [NEW] evince 2.28.1 'permission denied' pdf

2010-02-09 Thread eu
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

I use Ubuntu 9.10, evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2
As user 1001 I'm the document owner and the PDF shows in 'properties' rw for
the owner and ro for the group. Evince does not even show the pdf-files in the
directory. With Ubuntu 8.04 all is working fine.
I reinstalled evince because during Ubuntu 9.10 install I had no chance to add
the user ID 1001 what I use in all linux systems.
Had to add a new user and swap ID's. Other programs as OO work fine.
I appreciate some hints how to get it working.
best regards
eugen

[Bug 313153] [NEW] In Ubuntu 8.04 the filebrowser cannot create files in a directory

2009-01-02 Thread eu
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

file permissions allow to create folders.

Nautilus 2.22.5.1
where rw permission is given. In the home directory creating folders is
possible.

I've my documents in a separate partition and with this version of the
browser, no new folder can be created. Before it worked. There must have
been an upgrade and now it's not longer possible.

In the permission of the browser is create and delete files checked, file
access read and write disappears after setting.
Under File 'create folder' and 'create document' is dimmed.
