[Bug 519223] [NEW] evince 2.28.1 'permission denied' pdf
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince I use Ubuntu 9.10, evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 As user 1001 I'm the document owner and the PDF shows in 'properties' rw for the owner and ro for the group. Evince does not even show the pdf-files in the directory. With Ubuntu 8.04 all is working fine. I reinstalled evince because during Ubuntu 9.10 install I had no chance to add the user ID 1001 what I use in all linux systems. Had to add a new user and swap ID's. Other programs as OO work fine. I appreciate some hints how to get it working. best regards eugen ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Feb 9 10:41:59 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evince InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala - Release amd64 (20091027.1) Package: evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash LANG=en_US.UTF-8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: evince Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic x86_64 ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- evince 2.28.1 'permission denied' pdf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519223 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 313153] [NEW] In Ubuntu 8.04 the filebrowser cannot create files in a directory
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus file permissions allow to create folders. Nautilus 2.22.5.1 where rw permission is given. In the home directory creating folders is possible. I've my documents in a separate partition and with this version of the browser, no new folder can be created. Before it worked. There must have been an upgrade and now it's not longer possible. In the permission of the browser is create and delete files checked, file access read and write disappears after setting. Under File 'create folder' and 'create document' is dimmed.
