Sorry, I'm new to debugging, but i installed the brasero debugging package and tried to run the command you gave, however it didn't open the application. I followed the instructions on obtaining a backtrace, but gdb didnt report any errors, but it did say it finished running the program as soon as the actual interface for nautilus opened. I tried gvfs-ls and that works instantly, as does regular navigation through terminal. It only takes a long time to open in nautilus the first time you open the drive after its mounted, so maybe it's trying to index the whole drive the first time its opened? Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero I get this error using brasero 2.27.91-0ubunutu1 on Karmic Alpha 4.
