Back again: I had the same issue again: First call after a fresh start of ekiga works fine, but the second simply has no incoming audio..the status bar is showing this: A: 8.0 / 0.0 So there is no incoming audio. My sip provider is netappel.fr by the way. I tried to install the patched version but failed..the official version was still being installed as far as I can tell. The subsequent calling issue seems to be gone though on Lucid. Ok, the lucky part of post #15 is nil. I have seen that in alsamixer (the terminal version) all channels were on mute although I didn't mute anything. After unmuting the audio in and output ekiga found its voice again. Now I am not sure if this has been my problem all the way long or not. Hi, We have a patch wich modify the network part of the audio and video streams when behind a NAT. As this is the case here (after a quick look), this patch might solve the issue. Would you be kind enough to test it? I am experiencing the same issue. I am behind a NAT (wifi router) and have a SIP account with ekiga.net I can hear audio only on the first call when i try dialing out on Ekiga. Subsequent calls dont work. I did try this with Twinkle and it worked perfectly on multiple calls back-to-back. The only way to get around this is to restart Ekiga. But that will only get me one call the next time i try dialing. There is only one SIP instance behind my router. The router doesn't have any special ports opened up, but that shouldn't affect the basic working of the client. Can you open this bug again and investigate the issue? Place the first call which will succeed. Place the second call which will fail. Close Ekiga. The output.txt file contains the debug output of ekiga you need to attach here. Redirections de plages de ports: Début Fin Protocole Destination 192.168. . 192.168. . 192.168. . Sauf que cela reste une solution court terme... Nous sommes 2 à utiliser ekiga, avec dc 2 ip différentes, et si je reroute des packets comme cela sur 192.168.0.10, le 192.168.0.11 ne marchera pas, notre solution a été d'installer winkle mais bon bof... It seems Twinkle (?) can handle that better than Ekiga, right? Why exactly? Was ekiga failing handling the NAT or was ekiga audio bad? Is twinkle handling NAT with a feature ekiga do not provide? ok, i think the problem is with annatel the sip provider.. I made a change to the internet provider (trigger the port) and by now it seems ok, but it's not a good solution, because, i can use ekiga on 1 computer that's all, we have 2 computers to use it, and with this triggering it's over. Then my solution is to use twinkle, because it works perfectly with FREE a french internet IP provider.. Yes it works no problems, but i have 2 sip providers Annatel and Free And 2 computers need to use it If i install ekiga onto 2 computers, it's impossible because i need to trigger on 1 computer to make it works... Then the trigger work on the first computer but not on the other... I will need to change the trigger etc... The solution is to use twinkle on the other computer, they don't use the same range of port and it's solved...
