No , the update did not fix this problem. The screensaver is inconsistent , sometimes the screensaver does *not* activate and sometimes it activates . mac_v: after the latest round of gnome-power-manager updates, the screensaver has started working again in Gnome sessions for me and for the reporters on bug 397892.
