The attached file contains a movie from my camera and a subtitle file. The contents of the textfiles doesn't seem to matter. Totem freezes always when a text file with the same name is in the same folder. Totem freezes with every movie my camera can make (Canon mjpeg avi file). MPlayer shows the subtitles nicely. I also am experiencing a freeze in totem when playing a movie with subtitles. I moved the .sub and .idx file outside of the folder and the movie played fine. Totem does not crash but only freezes until I try to close it and then press Force Quit. Sorry for the delay, totally forgot about this. Actually, I experienced this with totem-gstreamer. btw: I think it's a freeze. When I try to open the video with totem, totem opens but the videos doesn't play and also I cannot close totem anymore. If totem is using Xine as its backend, then this is probably the same problem I am having with Kaffeine and Xine. I have an OGM contained video with a subtile in vobsub format. Xine crashes with: xiTK received SIGSEGV signal, RIP. The kaffeine backtrace is attached. Kaffeine and Xine work if the vobsub files are not loaded.
