hi I have similar problems.. I've been using Gimp for the past month or so now with my Wacom Graphire 3 A6 tablet.. I seem to have random slow downs (i.e. the drawing lags behind the cursor).. and a lot of the time when this happens Gimp will crash. The rest of the time it works pretty well. There's one user in the upstream bugs who does report that updating to linuxwacom 0.7.6-4 does fix the problem. I use a Wacom Graphire 3 A6 tablet and gimp 2.2.13 (ubuntu 6.10) and have this problem with every tools (from pencil to rectangularly selection). My Bug #69391 is marked as a duplicate of this one, and that is probably correct, but my Gimp crashes for more scenarios than the one listed above, it can crash doing just about anything (selecting tools, drawing normally etc), however using a tablet does seem to be the common factor so far. That's not to say that it crashes every time I do one of those things, but it may happen a bit randomly. Just thought I'd mention that. Indeed, I have the same problem. Specifically, for me it happens at the exact moment when the screen shifts. It seems to work with many tools as well. When zoomed out, no problem, but the instant you zoom in and try to scroll without using the scroll-bar, it crashes. I even tried reinstalling GIMP, but with no success.
