Sounds similar to the bug I reported #659244. And for iPod Classic. Worked fine prior to Maverick upgrade. Running Rhythmbox from the command line, I get the following output (repeated at least once for each track) when adding tracks to the iPod: ** (rhythmbox:9198): CRITICAL **: itdb_splr_validate: assertion `at != ITDB_SPLAT_UNKNOWN' failed Also, when looking at the listings for the artist in Rhythmbox, affected albums whose titles begin with The appear under T rather than under the first word after T. So to give an example, albums called The Avalanche and The B.Q.E. added before this bug appear under A and B respectively, while The Age of Adz appears under T.
