It just happened again: When I opened calibre and clicked on the convert icon my GNOME session crashed, leaving me with the login screen. Linux was fine and even preserved my open DSL connection. [Bug 327082] Re: Totem crashes on loading files
This is still an issue in Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 (fully updated) but the request_code is different so I'm not sure if it's the same bug. The program 'totem' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'. (Details: serial 93 error_code 2 request_code 133 minor_code 19) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) [Bug 610131] Re: Facebook contacts cannot be added to groups
Honestly, how is this bug classified as Won't Fix? Facebook is one of the most utilized protocols regardless of which client someone uses. The whole point of using an IM client such as empathy, pidgin, or digsby is to combine multiple protocols into one EASY TO USE interface. If the empathy developers really don't have the time or want to put in the effort to fix an issue associated with one of their biggest protocols that is fine, but they should also expect to lose users in the process. Again, the reason most users want to use empathy, or clients like empathy, is to group contacts from multiple sources into a single, easy to use interface. I hope that this is fixed soon, or I will be turning to a different client that fixes issues like this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/610131 Title: Facebook contacts cannot be added to groups -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 769234] Re: Notifications are delayed if contacts send messages too fast
@Martin Pitt : I tested the way this works on Unity and I'm impressed: It works great! --at least with one contact sending several messages.
