Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 639608] Re: manual duplex printing missing

2018-09-29 Thread Anne Kyle
I've actually gotten rid of both that printer and that laptop since then so
I'm afraid I can't help! Sorry!

  manual duplex printing missing

Status in gtk package in Ubuntu:

Status in system-config-printer package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: hplip

I have problem with 'manual duplex' printing on my HP CP1514n in Ubuntu.
In 10.04 I select the double sided print option (print long edge). Print is
now simplex printing, which is wrong.
In 10.10beta there is a new option checkbox : Duplexer installed. Because I
don't have a duplexer attached to my printer, I deselect this option. But then
I cannot select double sided printing any more.
  What to do?
I want first to print the even pages, then I want to place the printed stack
(even pages) in the printer tray.
When I at last acknowledge with the OK printer button, the printer shall
print the odd pages in the correct order on the opposite side of the even pages.
This works perfectly in Windows. Ubuntu (Linux) must have the same
functionality!
I believe a lot of people have the same problem!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 639608] Re: manual duplex printing missing

(I should also add that I'm using Ubuntu 12.04, not 10.10 as the
previous poster was using...)

  manual duplex printing missing

Status in “hplip” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 639608] Re: manual duplex printing missing

2014-03-27 Thread Anne Kyle
I am having the same problem, and I hope I am not breaking some code of
etiquette here, but as the original poster hasn't yet responded to
Yash's request since 2010, I've run the command myself and post the
results here.

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).
