[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1770502] Re: Brasero hangs when burning cds

2018-05-10 Thread Bill Hammond
Some additional information.

As an experiment, I tried burning a cd with the write directly to the cd
option unchecked. The files (mp3) seemed to transcode okay but when the
time came to write the cd, it was ejected and the write failed. I am
attaching the session log.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 661422] Re: Simple Scan won't detect HP 4C after upgrade to meerkat

2014-01-13 Thread Bill Hammond
Hi Rolf,

I disposed of the computer and SCSI card a while ago. If I remrmber
correctly, I was in gnome terminal. I didn't try those two commands.

I still have the scanner. I may fire it back up if I can get a SCSI card
for it.

Hi,

This is no longer an issue as the computer and video card have been

Title:
Random pixels turn on and off on Radeon 9200

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This is my first bug report, so my apologies if there's a breach of
  etiquette.

I am having what seems to be a video memory leak issue after upgrading
to 10.04 Lucid. Pixels in letters and numbers will randomly turn off
and on after roughly one hour of use. Graphics are unaffected by
this. Logging out and in again clears the problem for a while. The
video card is an ATI Radeon 9200 which ran fine under Karmic. I
haven't really been able to reproduce the bug but it sometimes becomes
noticeable when I run evince a couple of times.

I have a screenshot of the phenomenon if anyone's interested.

I may need help in extracting the versions of xorg and other packages.
  Sorry for the trouble.

  Many thanks for your help.
