2012-12-30 Thread Ibrahim-hammad

instruction and reproduced the bug report, however, when I navigated to
/var/crash there were nothing there. the folder is empty so no file to
attach to the report.

Please advise.

Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1070939] Re: Libreoffice- writer crashes at save command

2012-12-25 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Hello Christopher,

I hope this email finds you well.

Things are getting really tough and boring for me. I tried the same
instruction and receive a message the no such file or directory exists.
When I open the crash folder it is empty.

The system is not stable and the libreoffice is still crashing !

I don't want to shift back to windows and I still believe in this great
project and would do the best to contribute to its success, but please help
me process my daily work on it without shifting back.

I can imagine the loads of work you do and can imagine the pressure you are
under, but still feel happy for your success, which makes weak people like
me to add more pressure asking for your professionalism.

Please advise.

Ibrahim Hammad

always get a message "No such file or directory" although I tried it in

Please help.

ps. I dream that someone can generate a visual button that can run the

2012-12-18 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Hello Christopher,

Thank you for usual professional support.
As far as I can remember, that I followed your instruction regarding the
libreofice crash. Your question means that I failed to do it as it should
be, then, shall I do it again?

Last weak I reported 2 issues for the spreadsheet but with no response or
feedback at all, except that I did it twice and received a message that it
is considered as a duplicate.

please advise.

Have a nice day.

2012-12-15 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Dear Christopher,

Further to my previous email, I'd like to inform you that I had processed
"sudo apt-get update" on the terminal.
it went fine except for the end, however, the warning sign disappeared, but
the end of the terminal text shows some defects.

Moreover, the sudo apt-get upgrade resulted with nothing, and when trying
to check for updates from the upper main menu the same message appeared in
the terminal will come up again (failure).

The rest of this message I'll paste the content of the terminal text for
your kind reference.

2012-12-14 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
HI Christopher,

I hope this email finds you well.

I've been encountering some problems and crashes lately, while when I try
to generate a report or report a bug I couldn't do it successfully , so it
is not done.

Now, I received a warning sign this morning with a message and when I try
to check for updates a get another message.

I tries before when I encountered problems to report it through the
terminal using the history commands but I got a message telling me that the
file is not found.

Please find attached a snapshot of both messages. I appreciate much you
kind help and instructions on what exactly to do (and how to do it please).

Regards,
Ibrahim Hammad

2012-12-01 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Dear Christopher,

I hope this email finds you well.

Thank you for your professional help, and I hope I can be of more help to
this project.

I could locate the file crashdb.conf and made the instructed change,
however, the file refused to save the changes. To overcome this before
asking your help I copied the file contents and opened a new document and
paste it in there and tried to save this file on the same location but in
different file name. This had failed as well. Should this succeeded I would
rename the original file and rename the new file with the original file
name instead. But it failed.

Your help is highly required please.

Ibrahim Hammad

Dear Bryan,

Thank you.

I've just tried the same operation and all went well. I didn't face any
problem, noting that after the crash took place once I need to open any
Libreoffice document , even New document it will open a recovery window
then will open the new document. But this also had gone as well.

Thank you again, and appreciated.

Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1069692] Re: Libreoffice crashes on save command

2012-10-24 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Yes Dear Christopher...as I told you earlier after the execution a small
size window from ubuntu will appear containing information with an option
button "Send". Once the button is pressed it will disappear and the browser
automatically open a new tab for the main log in page for Launchpad.

What I did is that I logged in and reported the bug and attached
the _usr_lib_libreoffice_program_soffice.bin.1000.crash file .

I hope this is the proper action, else please advise.

Re: [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1069692] Re: Libreoffice crashes on save command

2012-10-24 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Thank you Christopher. Running the instructed command will bring a small
windows with the details of the bug and a send button. Going to /var/crash
does not appear to have any new generated files.

It seems this directory has three names of crashes each has three file type
i.e. the file :_usr_lib_libreoffice_program_soffice.bin.1000 has
an extension of ".crash" & ".upload" & ".uploaded"

No new files are generated after the command is run in terminal.

Please advise.

2012-10-24 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Dear Christopher,

Sorry for any inconvenience happened. I just followed your instruction,
which directly requested to send the report and I did not submit anything
through the launchpad.

As I mentioned in my last email, I found two crash reports in the crash
directory. Shall I send them through the Launchpad please?

Have a nice day.
Regards,
Ibrahim Hammad

2012-10-24 Thread Ibrahim-hammad
Dear Christopher,

I hope this email finds you well.

Thank you for your professional care and concern, and surely, I do hold the
willingness to participate and contribute to this project;s success.

I followed your instructions literally and sent a crash report, even I sent
two as another one was generated after the subject one.

Please excuse my ignorance, hoping what I did is what you expected, and I'm
still ready for anymore instructions should you send.

Until I reach a level where I'll be an active support for this project,
I'll keep developing myself as possible.

Thank you again, and awaiting for your instructions if any.

Have a nice day.

Regards,
Ibrahim Hammad
