[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1767912] Re: Mouse Keys enabled/enables during session when setting shows disabled
** Description changed: After starting a session, the numpad behaves as if Mouse Keys is enabled. Going to Settings > Universal Access > Mouse Keys shows that the feature is disabled. To disable Mouse Keys, the setting must be enabled first, then disabled. Alternatively, the following commands must be used in terminal: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.a11y.keyboard mousekeys-enable true gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.a11y.keyboard mousekeys-enable false These settings will only persist for the session. It has been observed that the function seemingly enables itself during a session, with no known trigger. At the same time, the num lock or shift + num lock hotkey does not function. Whether that is a separate bug is another story, but neither key combination results in the accidental or purposeful activation or deactivation of Mouse Keys. Problem observed in Ubuntu 18.04. gsettings-desktop-schemas version 3.28.0-1ubuntu1. Has been previously observed in 17.10 and 16.04. Current temporary workaround is to add the two commands above into a script to run on startup. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1286552] Re: No wifi after suspend
I was having this same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 and after a couple of days of trying to fix it, I found a file inside /etc/pm/sleep.d/ which is called 99dw1704. This file handles disabling and enabling the wl module on hibernate and suspend. All I had to do to fix it is to run: sudo chmod -x /etc/pm/sleep.d/99dw1704 and everything ran fine after this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1286552 Title: No wifi after suspend Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After suspending ubuntu the wifi doesn't work. The solution given here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/368671/ubuntu-13-10-wifi-not-re- connecting-after-suspend) worked for me but when I have updated my Ubuntu now it won't work. I have tried to test mainline kernel but it won't to boot with it. To reproduce the bug : just suspend the computer and then power it. There's no wifi network until you restart the computer. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1247189] Re: Ubuntu freezes completely when switching user
I'm using a freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 3.13.0-24 and 3.13.0-29. As soon as I click on a different user I want to switch to in the gearbox menu I get a black screen and nothing else is happening. I'm still able to SSH to that box and top does not show any process taking 100% CPU. Alt+sysrq+b is able to reboot the system as is sudo shutdown now -h Tried different versions of the nVidia Driver including 331, 319, 310 and 304. This is an HP zBook with nVidia Quadro K3000M plus an embedded Intel. With Hybrid graphics switched off (nVidia GPU only), this problem occurs. With Hybrid Graphics switched on or auto, (Intel GPU active), the GUI does not even start. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247189 Title: Ubuntu freezes completely when switching user Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: I'm using a freshly installed Ubuntu 13.10. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 75654] Re: deleted songs listed again when using library watch
I think the problem is (unless that is another problem) that Rhymthbox never ever "forgets" what files were once in the directory! I removed my music from the music folder and started RB: all the music was listed. When I pressed play it cycled through the whole list, eventually marking all as missing - but when I restarted RB, there they all were again! I did a complete removal of RB and reinstalled, with the music STILL removed from the source folder. And yet there it all was again. What intrigues me is what exactly does "completely remove including configuration files" mean??? I searched for "rhythmbox" after re- removing and there were over 50 files. I'm a newbie so I have no idea what they do, but I'm assuming some of them remember what once was in the source directory - for ever - and some remember what the source directory was set as. Perhaps I don't understand what a configuration file is, but I would have assumed that this information would be deleted by selecting "completely remove including configuration files". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/75654 Title: deleted songs listed again when using library watch Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts: In Progress Status in The Rhythmbox Music Management Application: New Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Rhythmbox does not remember that I have removed (Edit -> Remove) a track from the Library.
