[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1013151] [NEW] Can't read buttons in notification

2012-06-14 Thread Matthew Butler
Public bug reported:

When deja dup beings its backup the notification dialog in Gnome 3 shows
3 buttons, however text of the buttons is unavailable and only shows an
ellipse for each. Displays the same way on initial notification in the
middle of the message tray and as well from the icon in the messaging
tray.

This is on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit. Running latest updates, Gnome 3 (with
font scaling to 0.8 using Gnome tweak). No other add-ons or changes made
to the base system.

** Affects: deja-dup (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1167347] Re: Gnome online accounts does not include irc (for Empathy)

2013-04-10 Thread Matthew Butler
This is due to "account-plugin-irc" not being included in the packages
with the Ubuntu-Gnome (64-bit) image. The following are included by
default:

account-plugin-aim
account-plugin-facebook
account-plugin-flickr
account-plugin-generic-oauth
account-plugin-google
account-plugin-identica
account-plugin-jabber
account-plugin-salut
account-plugin-twitter
account-plugin-windows-live
account-plugin-yahoo

However account-plugin-irc is not included, and thus not available in
the Online Accounts.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1167347] Re: Gnome online accounts does not include irc (for Empathy)

2013-04-10 Thread Matthew Butler
I am using Gnome-Shell, from the Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 (64-bit) beta image
(ie unity itself not installed).

I can reproduce with:

Open Empathy.
Click on Empathy Menu > Accounts
Choose Add Account
-- IRC Is not listed.

Open Terminal.
run: sudo apt-get install account-plugin-irc
Open Empathy
Click on Empathy Menu > Accounts
Choose Add Account
-- IRC is now available to be added to Empathy.

As mentioned previously I am using Ubuntu Gnome and these other UOA
packages are included.

account-plugin-aim
account-plugin-facebook
account-plugin-flickr
account-plugin-generic-oauth
account-plugin-google
account-plugin-identica
account-plugin-jabber
account-plugin-salut
account-plugin-twitter
account-plugin-windows-live
account-plugin-yahoo

Also see this bug for reference:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1040193

In particular note:
"Empathy has been built to use ubuntu-online-accounts — to the extent that
Empathy will open that configuration panel when the user chooses Accounts from
its menu."

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1174422] [NEW] Window does not keep dimensions when resizing a 2nd tab

2013-04-29 Thread Matthew Butler
Public bug reported:

To reproduce:

Open a new terminal window (I used ctrl+alt+T)
On the new window, open a new tab (I used CTRL+SHIFT+T)
Resize the window while the 2nd tab is active.
Remove focus from window (I used alt+tab but clicking another window also
worked)

Result: Window resizes back to its default size.

Now repeat the steps, but before resizing the window switch to the
first/primary tab.

Any resizes on the primary/first tab will be maintained when window
loses focus.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 811049] Re: gvfsd-ftp crashed with SIGSEGV in g_vfs_job_try()

2011-10-03 Thread Matthew Butler
Also receiving this error.

When using FTP to a NAS. First file transfer (up or down) works fine.
However after starting the a second transfer after the first has
completed the stream seems to stall partly through transfer and after
cancelling receive this error. It appears that the stream is closing and
ftp doesn't recognize it.
