[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1946499] Re: installation of deb-packages with gdebi-gtk shows "dpkg: error: unable to read filedescriptor flags for : Bad file des

2021-10-19 Thread Nikola M
When I do right-click on .deb package and open it with Gdebi-gtk,
and try to install a package on 21.10 (also used to happen od 21.04)
program closes.

I have downloaded 0.9.5.7+nmu6 and I think I have built it with dpkg-
buildpackage - us -uc and still happens the same.

0.9.5.7+nmu6 works of gdebi-gtk is called from Terminal and .deb opened via
File>Open ,
but it does not when on right-click and install in Thunar.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 601632] Re: Xorg/Radeon driver freezed after an hour of playing flash videos

2014-01-08 Thread Nikola M
Hi, thank you for your response.
I do not posses hardware anymore, so can not personally do more testing on that
hardware.

If it could help, i think I remember using later versions of XUbuntu on that
hardware
and don't remember I could not use it.

So it is to someone else to test it further and up to you to retract this bug
report,
since original poster (me) is unable to test it anymore, due to hardware
absence.
Thank you.

I could only (slowly) log in with ssh to it, to see with top that Xorg is
using 100% cpu, after that, i kulled firefox with pkill and still it was Xorg
locked. (Ctrl+Alt+F7 could not switch back to X).
Then I killed gsm with sudo and Xorg process but again, could not log in to
console anymore, but console stopped spitting radeon errors.
So I halt it and reboot it and post this bug.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 883614] Re: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module canberra-gtk-module

2012-12-10 Thread Nikola M
I logged to another machine using Xubuntu 12.04.1 LTS 32-bit x86
3.2.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP i686 i686 i386
with ssh -X and started `sudo synaptic`
Synaptic seems to work fine, over ssh, but `Failed to load module
"canberra-gtk-module"` is displayed in terminal (Runnung Openindiana/Illumos
151a7 on ssh client side if that is important)
