[Desktop-packages] [Bug 951464] Re: Wireless connections in network-manager-applet not editable
so I just upgraded to 12.04 this past week, and now I am seeing this issue. I have removed network-manager-kde and installed the Wicd as I saw in another post and this did not resolve. I have put network- manager-kde back into play but still see this issue, I can edit the connections it is just very annoying to have to re-enter the password everytime in network manager to get connected. Attempting an apt-get update now so we'll see what happens, if that doesn't work how can I acquire the patch? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951464 Title: Wireless connections in network-manager-applet not editable Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Right-click on the network manager applet --> edit connections On the tab wireless is the current network shown, I'd like to connect. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 951464] Re: Wireless connections in network-manager-applet not editable
Simmilar for me: It only appers with Ubuntu 12.04 Beta. But it would be really announing if this bug would ship out with 12.04 LTS. The bug does not apply on all wireless connections. For me the connection was a "eduroam" network (roaming network in the education and research area in whole Germany). In order to connect to the network, you need to configure a "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise Security" with a "Protected EAP". In order to do so, it schould be possible to edit the connection, which is currently not possible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-applet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951464 Title: Wireless connections in network-manager-applet not editable Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Right-click on the network manager applet --> edit connections On the tab wireless is the current network shown, I'd like to connect.
