No problem Dejan - see AMQ-4659. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again Dejan. I see what you mean, and that is exactly my issue.
Since this is just a POC, I'm going to try extending the MessageServlet to
accept appliction/json as the request content type. I think that should
work.

Thanks Dejan, that worked.

My listener on the consumer side is now able to see messages from my
producer app via the REST API, but for some reason the messages are coming
across empty (meaning TextMessage.getText() returns null).

I created my own HTTP interface, which simply takes the body of the HTTP
message and sends it to activemq via JMS. This works perfectly, and allows
me to retrieve the text from the HTTP body without any problems.

If I simply point my producer to activemq's REST URL, I get the empty
messages.

Any thoughts?

How do you configure anonymous access for REST API?

2013-07-24 Thread jersey355
Hi -

Newbie here working on a POC for work. My only goal at this point is very
simply. Open up the REST API on activemq to allow a voice web application
to post log messages to a queue. A separate consumer app will pick up the
messages via a MessageListener.

I don't want to get bogged down with security right now... just want to get
this up and running but my voice app keeps getting a 401 response from AMQ.

I tried adding the simpleAuthenticationPlugin as described on the AMQ
security page, but that didn't work. Probably because of the jetty.xml
import which I see has a bunch of pre-configured security settings in there
(which I am not familiar with).

Anyway, I would like to know what is the simplest and quickest way to
configure anonymous (or basic auth) for AMQ's REST API with or without
jetty?

Thank you
