[ASK] Is it possible to sort lists in Cloudstack UI?

2015-03-17 Thread Paul Shadwell
We have a lot of objects in our Cloudstack environment so when it comes to
listing, domains, accounts, networks, volumes, instances etc. it is a laborious
task trying to find items because nothing is sorted logically.

It would be great to have list tables where you can click the column heading to
sort a list based on that column.

Thanks for your attention.

Re: SNAT and remote IP problem

2015-03-18 Thread Paul Shadwell
I also have this problem, it effects running vPBX/VoIP services behind a VR.

In fact any service that requires a view on incoming IPs and domain names.

For example fail2ban will block ALL access to ssh because it only ever sees the
VR IP address.

Upgrading to 4.3.2 did not fix it.

This needs fixing urgently.

Best regards

Paul

Re: [Feature Request] VM Snapshot based on KVM+Ceph

2016-07-11 Thread Paul Shadwell
This is a feature that has been missing from Cloudstack since the beginning
when using KVM as the hypervisor.
It's been asked for many times but still no support.
This would be a huge plus for Cloudstack if this feature was added and make it
a much more viable product for end users.
KVM is usually chosen because 1: it's free 2: it has many features that make it
a much better choice for large installations.
Many have ended up either writing their own VM snapshot solution, or simply
hiding the icon from the customer.
I'm surprised that after years of waiting for this feature to be added, it's
still missing.
I know it's not totally the Cloudstack Dev team's fault that VM Snapshots are
missing from KVM support but I do think this is a list opportunity for a big
win if they did something about it.

Just my 2 penneth on this subject that has plagued me on a daily basis
supporting Cloudstack installs.

Regards
Paul
