Re: [commons-fileupload2-jakarta-servlet6] - 2.0.0.M2 -DiskItemFile setPath

2024-07-05 Thread sendi Tho
hi, thank you for reviewing this. I am just trying to set the path for
temporaty file location for upload

String path = new File(System.getProperty("java.io.tmpdir")).getPath();

DiskFileItemFactory factory = DiskFileItemFactory.builder().get();
// sets temporary location to store files
factory.setPath(path); // does not have setter for path
factory.setRepository();// does not have setter for repo, it does have the
getter though

or I tried to see if Jakarta has setter available

JakartaServletDiskFileUpload upload = new JakartaServletDiskFileUpload(factory);
upload.setSizeMax(MEMORY_THRESHOLD);
upload.setSizeMax(MEMORY_THRESHOLD);
upload.setPath(path);// not there eiter

Hello,

Could you point out precisely in code what you are wanting to do with
DiskFileFactory?

[VOTE] Release Apache Commons RNG 1.6 based on RC1

2024-07-05 Thread Alex Herbert
We have fixed a few bugs and added enhancements since Apache Commons RNG
1.5 was released, so I would like to release Apache Commons RNG 1.6.

Apache Commons RNG 1.6 RC1 is available for review here:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/commons/rng/1.6-RC1 (svn
revision 70143)

The Git tag commons-rng-1.6-RC1 commit for this RC is commons-rng-1.6-RC1
which you can browse here:

https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf?p=commons-rng.git;a=commit;h=commons-rng-1.6-RC1
You may checkout this tag using:
git clone https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf/commons-rng.git --branch
commons-rng-1.6-RC1 commons-rng-1.6-RC1

Maven artifacts are here:

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachecommons-/org/apache/commons/commons-rng/1.6/

These are the artifacts and their hashes:

executing:
svn co https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/commons/rng/1.6-RC1/
cd 1.6-RC1
chmod +x ./signature-validator.sh
for m in client-api core simple sampling bom; do
./signature-validator.sh

done

The source code contains examples that are not part of the public API.
These examples contain Java 11 modules and are enabled using a profile (see
below).

Note: Testing randomness using statistical thresholds results in failures
at a given probability. The 'maven-surefire-plugin' is configured to re-run
tests that fail, and pass the build if they succeed within the allotted
number of reruns (the test will be marked as 'flaky' in the report).

I have tested this with 'mvn clean install' and 'mvn clean package site
site:stage -Pcommons-rng-examples' using:

Apache Maven 3.9.6 (bc0240f3c744dd6b6ec2920b3cd08dcc295161ae)

[commons-fileupload2-jakarta-servlet6] - 2.0.0.M2 -DiskItemFile setPath

2024-07-05 Thread sendi Tho
Greetings guys,

I am trying to use the new  "commons-fileupload2-jakarta-servlet6"

   org.apache.commons
   commons-fileupload2-jakarta-servlet6
   2.0.0-M2

looks like the M2 jar from maven and the code differs ( getting warning like
bycode and source code does not match).

so currently this build does not allow DiskFileFactory api users to set the
repository path.. is this intentional ? how to set the path?

the path seems to come from FileItemFactory, but as FileItemFactory is abstract
and DiskItemFactory delegates through its builder the path setter is lost.

also I could not find the 1.x prod build ( assuming we are on 2.x version) of
upload2 servlet6.  the 2.x using the builder and change in api.. I just wanted
to change the package name to jakarta and be done with this.. :)

thanks in advance.
