Fyi there is already a tech@labs.a.o that commiters can use for cross
project topics.

I missed the opportunity to promote it here at the right time, but better
late than never!

Hi,
Who are the admins of the ASF LinkedIn page?
Can I suggest that we join forces (I'm one of the FB admins) to synchronise
our activity across social channels?
Yesterday our twitter tweeted the new board, I eventually Facebooked it,
and it hasn't reached linkedin yet.

Yes, labs would be more than happy to host an effort to improve tooling,
subscribe to labs@labs.a.o when you're ready and I'll kick it all off for
you.

[Facebook] ASF Facebook group is no more

2018-03-18 Thread Danny Angus
Hi all,

Just FYI, I have today removed all members (32) and deleted the ASF
Facebook group. I, uniquely, could do this because I was the person who
created it 11 years ago.

It has never seen any structured use or valuable reach, (30-40 people max)
and if left it will dilute the "authority" of the ASF page, which is anyway
a better mechanism for our needs.

Appologies if this seems a little sumary but I posted about it in the group
and the post recieved only one reaction (from Rich) so I assumed lazy
consensus.

Meanwhile I will throw my weight behind Rich's effort to manage the ASF FB
page, and I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

Thanks,
Danny
