RE: Cannot authenticate license on REST API TRACKING:000308016 [EXTERNAL]

2018-07-19 Thread Jain, Ritika
I still cannot get it to load the AggregatePlainTextFastUMLSProcessor, but I
have a question - the umls support says that the end point to validate the user
is not a valid api, then how is it working for others? Are you all changing the
umlsaddress in the dictionary xml?

Hi Ritika,

We had similar issues back in February (you can search the email archive). I
was under impression that this happened when multiple instances of cTAKES were
run on the same machine under different user names. A couple of times we were
able to fix this problem by cleaning out a bunch of files from /tmp (such as
conn.xml), but that “fix” stopped working at some problem. We weren’t able to
determine the root cause of this problem...

Ultimately, we replaced CentOS with Ubuntu on that machine and the problem went
away for good.

Best,

Dima

2018-07-19 Thread Jain, Ritika
I have configured the password in both the places - xml and as environmental
variable.
Another thing to notice is that if I hit the API that ctakes is using to
valiate the user using postman ( web debugger) I still get a false --

POST https://uts-ws.nlm.nih.gov/restful/isValidUMLSUser

BODY: licenseCode=NLM-3495749
user=ritikajain
password=XX

and I still a false.

You can also try hitting the API with a vaild UMLS license with postman, and
hopefully it should give a false

Are you providing your password via the xml descriptor file or an environment
variable? The only thing I can think of is that there might be some
misformatting in the xml, like an extra trailing space/newline in the field
where one of the username/password goes.

Hi Ritika,

In your ctakes directory there might be a file named cTAKES.error.log If it
is present you can check for more detailed information. I can't think of
anything else to tell you right now.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for reaching out, the password and username is right, it has been 2-3
days now since I have been struggling with it. There are no special characters
anywhere, which is why I am sure if there is something else happening.

The steps that I am following are:

- update the runctakescvd.bat and runctakescpe.bat java commands as mentioned
in the install guide
- added the username password and vendor information in the resource.xml

Anything else that I am missing?

Ritika

Hi Ritika,

It is a little easier to start the clinical pipeline as outlined here:
https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-253A-252F-252Fcwiki.apache.org-252Fconfluence-252Fdisplay-252FCTAKES-252FDefault-252BClinical-252BPipeline-26amp-3Bdata-3D02-257C01-257C-257C032497f07be34e9a6b3908d5ecd6787f-257C1a407a2d76754d178692b3ac285306e4-257C0-257C0-257C636675328259370278-26amp-3Bsdata-3DKr6BVnysDEBAOtmGdQ2g32VyEzUI9ALeIDjMxMZEziQ-253D-26amp-3Breserved-3D0%26d%3DDwIFAg%26c%3DqS4goWBT7poplM69zy_3xhKwEW14JZMSdioCoppxeFU%26r%3Dfs67GvlGZstTpyIisCYNYmQCP6r0bcpKGd4f7d4gTao%26m%3DGqHa003bWO-wQ-O5I0ufpc_LJHggfChk83dWdrndMS4%26s%3DefdtCufyrjpKEACItRl7ndVqPziRZjypcKSP9uzgS80%26edata=02%7C01%7C%7C2cb58d890ef94c7aa76408d5ece0669d%7C1a407a2d76754d178692b3ac285306e4%7C0%7C0%7C636675370907437611sdata=ShtdLe6ASvx0rt6aey%2BE9XLCZCKM9vML%2FneF%2BBXVm9o%3Dreserved=0=

One thing that may cause problems would be a space or special character in the
username or password. Even if it is valid for the umls browser it may not go
across the wire from ctakes properly. If that is the case then please log a
jira item and provide a username or password formatted like yours (but not
yours).

Hi,

I am running into issue while following the user installation manual i.e.

Hello,

I did follow instructions on ctakes and it didn't work, then I tried hitting
the API using postman tool to validate user and it still did not work. Please
check the attachment from previous email.

I am not able to validate my user for umls
