I started looking at those a bit last week. I should be able to do some more digging at the end of this week. For the test documentation there is a warning about using java6: Be Aware Tests for native code loading will fail on Java 6, so do not use this JDK for testing the framework. Does that still apply? When I ran the CT I used Java 7, so that might have cause some of these failures above... Looks like the impacted classes are the ManifestParser and ResolverImpl. The spec doesn't seem to mention in what order this is evaluated with respect to the other namespaces. With the native values being completely static on a machine during runtime does it make sense to evaluate this first before the other namespaces? Is this basically down to just publishing the JVM system properties around os.arch, os.name, os.version, and user.language into the Provide-Capabilities within the ExtentionManager class?
