Re: Installer is Timing Out.

2018-06-01 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello Piotr,

How does this help: Info from different sides of the world might be
useful in debugging services :)
What to do: Not sure what would be the best option here :( Since
flex.a.o is accessible for users who are using Flex, maybe it worth to
host installer config at flex.a.o? (just an idea)

PS Reports from Russia might not be very useful due to we have lots of
"cloud IP addresses" blocked by government:

I was able to implement this by creating multiple blocks like
[compile, rename]
mapped to the different Maven phases

Re: [DISCUSS] Release Apache Flex SDK 4.16.1 - RC1*

2017-11-14 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
I can confirm (using Ubuntu 16.04 latest)

LICENSE file has Windows line endings (which is OK if it was checked-out on
Windows)
both frameworks/locale/ja_JP/metadata.properties
and frameworks/tests/basicTests/spark/views/SortTests.mxml files has
invalid contents (encoding)

I would suggest to create .gitattributes (similar to .gitignore) in case
line endings might be an issue
not sure why UTF-8 files were damaged, there are OK after git clone

Re: flash application Camera/Microphone driver list blank

2017-08-19 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
According to error being displayed in Chrome dev console
You site need to be served via HTTPS to be able to use camera/microphone

proof: Microphone and Camera access no longer works on insecure origins. To
use this feature, you should consider switching your application to a
secure origin, such as HTTPS. See https://goo.gl/rStTGz for more details.

Thanks for the clarifications :)

I believe it might be good idea to use standard jar file locations
(like maven repo) and standard way of integration, and reduce
dependendency on people.a.o :)

Re: [DISCUSS] Discuss Release Apache FlexJS 0.6.0 RC1

2016-03-28 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello Alex,

just curious, why are you using
http://people.apache.org/~aharui/rat/apache-rat-0.8.jar
instead of
http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/rat/apache-rat/0.8/apache-rat-0.8.jar
(or even better
http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/rat/apache-rat/0.11/apache-rat-0.11.jar)
?

additionally we are using Apache Rat as part of our maven build
(previously it was used as part of our ant build, and was
auto-downloaded using Ivy)

Re: do-while-false

I believe example2 need to be reformatted to match example1
do
{
if(prompt == null)
{
 break
};
if(prompt == "")
{
 break
};
if(!skin){
 break
};
if(!skin.currentState)
{
 break
};
if(skin.currentState.indexOf("WithPrompt") == -1 && text.length != 0 ||
   skin.currentState.indexOf("WithPrompt") != -1 && text.length == 0)
{
 break
};

invalidateSkinState()
break;
} while(false);

and most probably second if need to divided into 2 ifs :)

Re: do-while-false

2015-11-19 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
I personally prefer

if(conditiona && conditionb && conditionc &&conditiond)
{
//do something
}

it is shorter and more clear to me
not sure about performance, but I guess "if(conditiona && conditionb &&
conditionc &&conditiond)" should produce better native code

Re: [DISCUSS] Release Apache FlexJS 0.5.0

2015-10-20 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
the problem is here: export ANT_HOME=/usr/local/bin
ANT_HOME should point to the location you have unzipped ANT binary
distribution
not sure where should it point in case of "apt-get" installed ant :)

Re: [ENQUIRY] Some general feedback on our build system

2015-10-02 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Q1: Have you ever built flex-sdk, flex-falcon, flex-asjs, ...?
yes, I tried, but found it too tricky/time consuming

Q2: Did you have any problems with this?
yes, I was unable to finish the build due to too much additional
configuration need to be done before the build

Q3: If you were having problems, would making this easier make you
contribute (more)?
sure

Q4: Do you think it is important to have the latest development version
available as binaries (via Installer and Maven)?
actually yes, I need to ask Piotr every time I would like to test if my
installation is correct, and it seems to wrong
having automatic builds might simplify this process a lot

Is it OK? or maybe known issue and have known workaround?

Compiling TourDeFlexMobile

2015-03-12 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello All,

I just have tried to import TourDeFlexMobile [1] project into IntellyJ Idea
and compile.
Unfortunately I got ~200 errors related to Embeded assets inclusion:
assets are located on path src/assets
and being referenced from for example src/UIViews/MobileGridView.mxml
as "@Embed('assets/icons/160/about.png')
I believe in this case it need to changed to "
@Embed('../assets/icons/160/about.png')

Is it OK? Or Flash Builder will break on such change?
Or maybe someone can propose how Idea settings can be tuned to handle this?

Thanks in advance!

Re: [Discussion] FLEX-34623 Russian translation

2015-02-23 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello Piotr,

Thanks a lot!
I just have tested the translation (build #404 from [1]) and unfortunately
there are some issues:
1) licences and descriptions are not translated
2) it seems my attempt to insert line break to one of the strings has
failed :( somehow \n is just displayed as /n in the string :(
What is the correct way to add line break?

Not sure what is wrong :(

I got following error while trying to install:

The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem. The

Is there any known workaround?

Re: Translation needed

2014-10-25 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
I was not able to run 3.2.0 (due some certificate issues)
Russian translation was available in 3.1.0 but not all screens are
translated (I have translated all ~200 strings) for ex. "select
component/licence" screen contains all license descriptions and component
names in english
Additionally log entries are in english (was also translated)
