Re: OSMF bugs

2014-08-28 Thread Miguel Martín-Forero Ruiz
That's exactly what I asked one month ago in this list. Former osmf.org now
redirects to http://blogs.adobe.com/osmf/ and it hasn't been updated in 2
years.

It seems unsupported, considering that there're bugs out there been marked
as NotEnoughTime, so it'd nice Adobe donates it to Apache.

The project is open sourced at sourceforge, but it seems that it's fading
away slowly.

Just to provide some context. OSMF is still used in a few things Adobe
sells. I am glad to have Alex ask about it but I wouldn’t hold your breath
on donation. That was the response I got last time I asked (which has
admittedly been a year or so)

What licence ? Can we just fork it ?

Hi,

It's MPL I believe which is weak copy left so there's some issues there in
regards to Apche bundling.

Thanks,
Justin

 Hi,

Don't really care if it's part of our project or not, but as it's an optional
part of installing the SDK it would be good to have it at Apache.

donating the framework to Apache and f not could we make that happen?

I've always wanted to see OSMF tied more directly into flex as a component.
