Re: [l10n-dev] Locale data audit for af_ZA

I can do the conversion if you can provide fully resolved glibc files
(i.e. no "copy" directives). However, you will still only have partial
information as there is a lot of OO specific data which is not in glibc
or CLDR

Hi Robert
Thank you for reply!

Both Branko Tanovic and Istvan Torda are somewhere mentioned
as 'SR' Leads.

A week ago I tried to download some 'sr' localized version of OOo.

1st Step - OOo home page
2nd Step - Choose 'Serbian' from 'Native Language Projects' Combo
3rd Step - I get some page with strange 'Serbian language'.
   without possibility of any download

Then I compare mentioned 'strange' page with Croatian, Russian, Romanian,
Slovenian and Bulgarian pages and realize that nobody work on it.

I would like to contribute in OOo 2.0 'SR' localization (or make my own
version for my needs) and this is a reason I'm looking for advices, some
already translated messages, help pages etc. (any helpful hints).

Best

Sasa

2005-04-06 Thread Frank Schönheit - Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Hello Tonu,

I am not quite sure whether you are referring to OpenOffice.org in
general, or OpenOffice.org Base in particular. This mail here is only
about the latter, more precise about the HSQLDB database integration in
OpenOffice.org Base.

>>>[T.S]With the introduction of the stand-alone database in OO2.0 there is a
>>>need for a data sorting mechanism that takes into account the

The first implementations for this have recently been implemented, and
should be available in recent snapshot builds.

We are currently lacking some "real world" sample data for various
languages, see
http://dba.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgId=1900641. So
if you could provide such data for your language, that would be great -
see the link for details how to send it.

Estonian should now be supported by OOo Base (more precise: by HSQLDB
used in Base), so you might want to download the latest developer
snapshot, create a database with some Estonian texts, and give it a try
to sort it. I'd be interested in the results :)

Ciao
Frank
