Hello,

I wrote some time ago about this but nothing changed, so I will reiterate.
Localization of Oracle (was: Sun) extensions is part of OpenOffice.org
localization and we, the localizers, have localized them. Fully. But - the
official builds available from the Extensions site do not contain
localizations! Where can I get builds with Slovenian localization of PDF
Importer or others? True, Pavel does provide unofficial builds, but they are
not available for Windows.

So, will localizations finally be included or not? If not, the extensions
localization strings should be removed from the localization process. But
that is not what the native lang communities want - we want extensions in
our languages! I do not know how to push this thing so it starts to move.
Any ideas?

Thanks, m.

Re: [l10n-dev] OOo 3.2.1 l10n schedule?

Hi,

I've done some fixes in UI and help. At least UI fixes should be
included in 3.2.1. Help might be integrated in 3.3 but I was expecting
them to go into 3.2.1 as changes in help were announced anyway.

btw. It was *extremely* helpful if Sun / Oracle would use the same
workflows and tools as the community does. It would help to improve the
workflows and tools - and it would reduce the risk, that something gets
broken (just because one team is not aware of changes, that the other
team does).

kind regards,

André

Re: [l10n-dev] OOo 3.2.1 l10n schedule?

2010-03-24 Thread Rafaella Braconi

Hi Sophie,

I'm not very happy with this process. As a contributor of the FR
language, I would have appreciate to be asked if I can participate to
that translation round or not. Even if I understand that it's to help
the release to be in time, it's not good to bypass the contributors
and only some of them.
This is the deadline that should be adapted to the process, not our
participation and again, only to take care of few languages, what for
the others ? If the translation is not approved by the FR team, the
version won't be approved anyway.
So I would like to make sure that we are able to check for the strings
in Pootle and if not, I'm able to provide a translation by Sunday
evening. Also, we have provided several fixes in Pootle, will they be
integrated ?
I understand all you are saying. I am happy to provide you with the sdf
files translated before uploading them to Pootle. However, that won't be
before Monday late afternoon CET. Yes, we can integrate the Pootle fixes.

Kind Regards,
Rafaella

Italian team made some translation fixes for 3.2 and they are already in pootle.
It would be grat to see them in 3.2.1 :-)
Maybe it's useful for you to know that no changes have been made to help, only
UI.

thank you! That helps indeed :-) .

Hmm ... does Sun only push the new translations to pootle or push new
strings to pootle, translate, then merge back all changes?

Or in short: will the fixes for UI / help that have already been done
also be integrated?
