[l10n-dev] No coordinator for translation to Japanese and SUN or Oracle's position

2010-05-19 Thread Maho NAKATA
Dear Saito Reiko-san and Rafaella,

I would like to ask you about 3.3 translation to Japanese.

Background.
As I told, Kubota-san has been resigned and no dupty and successor.
I don't know how we will translate 3.3 strings for Japanese.
I - as the JA project lead - cannot accept, without leadership or without
someone who takes
the responsibility. Otherwise, our project will crash again.
I'll look for the next coordinator, but I'm not sure we will find to 3.3
transation.

Question.
So here is the question. What SUN or Oracle will/can offer for 3.3 JA
translation?

Thanks

Hi,

As nobody report a similar problem, I must comment that RC1 installs a
english interface in all OS while installation's wizard runs correctly
in galician. I have made all types the tests and variants, over
different machines and configurations. Too, other testers in my
community reports identical issue.
The installs of galician language pack not solve it.

As 3.2.1 rc1 seems to have showstoppers, we hope this not reproduces
again in the RC2 :-)

Cheers,

first of all let me say that Kubota-san was a great support. Thank you,
Kubota-san for all your work!
I hope you'll find soon a coordinator within the JA team. Just for me to
understand where I can help: Do you need someone to take over
coordination of the translation or do you need someone doing the
translation work?

Kind Regards,
Rafaella

Hi Rafaella,

Yes, it is a showstopper for rc1.

The problem afects also windows versions as all linux. At least in
galician localization builds.

Could you help to translate this page in your language ? Some languages

For information, I've asked that the flags are not used to represent
