So far I am not aware of any such issue in OOo or Oracle OpenOffice.
The only place where I have seen such issues repeatedly is on the LO
mailing list. Thus it may be a LO problem only.

TL->SBA: Do you know of any problem like this in OOo?

[l10n-dev] Dictionaries in OOo 3.3

2011-01-31 Thread Alexandro Colorado
There has been some issues installing custom dictionaries, they are
installing correctly but there is no way to find them on the dictionaries
options. Can I get verification on this bug.

1. Download a dictionary .oxt
2. Install through unopkg or Extension manager
3. Install succesfully
4. Go to Options -> Language Aids -> General
5. Select the dictionary --- the dictionary doesn't show with the checkmark.

Please let me know if I should forward this if this is not the right list. I
was tempted to go to lingucomponents but there doesnt seem to be much
traffic there.

Regards.

here is some of my research:

The extension gets installed under these paths:
~/.
openoffice.org/3/user/extensions/tmp/extensions/bJTezF_/es_MX.oxt/es_MX.aff
dictionaries.xcu has the following path:
*%origin%es_MX.aff*
on the stock dictionaries which are systemwide:
/opt/openoffice.org3/share/extensions/dict-es/es_ES.aff

QATrack is currently down. I don't know if we can bring it online again in
time for the 3.3 release.

If not, we can do the release via issues only. Open a new one to let us
know which files you have tested + approved and would like to see with
release status. Assign the issue directly to "issues@qa".

See the following issue as example for the description text:

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: [l10n-dev] Milestone update on pootle.services.openoffice.org

2011-01-31 Thread Frank Mau
Yes, sometimes the proxies are little delayed. The current version is
DEV300_m98. Still waiting for the m99 I'll announce the update to
m99 again, announcement will come approx. 24hours before the update and
one hour before starting the update. The Pootle-service will be disabled
by the update and comes back again when finished. - I think this will
fit for all.

In general it's fantastic to see the growing number of languages and the
dynamic translation of all languages. In the last two weeks we enabled
Czech, Norwegian (NB, NN), Britsh English and Farsi on Pootle. The cont.
l10n-Process allows direct access to developer l10n-milestones on
ftp://qa-upload.services.openoffice.org/l10n/download/ Try to use it and
verify your translation in the product!

Question at all: DO YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCESS AND/OR A
COMMON FEED ABOUT PROCESSING?

Cheers,
Frank
