Re: [l10n-dev] Translations for Extensions

2008-06-02 Thread Rafaella Braconi

Hi André

So someone should correct the extension website for "Sun (Media)Wiki
Publisher". (the "Media" is missing in the extension name).

Same with the Extension itselv - it is called "Wiki Publisher" when
installed ("Sun" and "Media" is missing).

Most of the references to the product name in strings are done via a
variable WIKIEXTENSIONPRODUCTNAME ... this seems not to have the
correct Product name ATM.

Thanky ou for pointing this out. The correct name is Wiki Publisher indeed.

I've updated the wiki accordingly.

Hi Clytie,

These are all from the GSI file, aren't they?

yes, the ones that follow the standard process and do not cause mess.
But I can't find the module "customres". Is it inside another
upper-level directory?

You are right. My fault. I've updated the wiki accordingly.

2008-05-31 Thread dooteo
Hi all,

While into dev300 pot files, there is next file,

/sdext/source/presenter/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office.pot

there isn't any localize.sdf file into OOo dev300 source. Let see:

$ ls
ooo_DEV300_m14_src/sdext/source/presenter/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/

Addons.xcu CVS extension Jobs.xcu makefile.mk ProtocolHandler.xcu

Is it fixed for m15?

Thanks and best regards,

Dooteo

I've created a wiki with a short overview of the CVS modules
containing the UI and Help strings for the extensions. Also, I have
added the languages for which we have translations. Please feel free
to add your language, in case you have translated these modules.

For Pootle Users:
Just one note: from what I see in Pootle, the MediaWiki Publisher
extension seems to be untranslated in quite a few languages. If possible
can you please have it translated by June 4th? That would be just before
we schedule the next Pootle update.

Thanks Rafaella.

I'd like to add that at least some developers do not take l10n
seriously in extensions and we have a lot of work there:

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=89965

Despite the earlier promise to use the standard l10n tooling, they
use en for help (instead of en-US), put de into the source (and they
even write it into the specification of extensions help :-() instead
of providing correct localize.sdf file containing de language strings
etc. From my POV, extensions are big l10n-mess :-(
