[Marketing] A Christmas Present for OOo
All: I' This is a public request that the following individuals give the OOo project a Christmas present: i): Jacqueline McNally [EMAIL PROTECTED] ii) : Louis Suarez-Potts [EMAIL PROTECTED]] The Christmas present I ask of them Their _immediate_ resignation from _all_ FLOSS projects that they are currently involved in. The reason: Their messages have repeatedly demonstrates an intolerance and abhorrence of the bazaar model, that is required for a FLOSS project to be success full. xan jonathon -- AT OK ATD 911 CONNECT

ENOUGH. This crap has gone on long enough. If you want to wage personal little battles with others, do it off-list. I'm tired of wading through 800 messages of third-grade tantrums and name-calling to find the one message actually related to the project. We're all big boys and girls around here and we should be able to handle these kinds of disagreements in a mature manner. Quite frankly, this kind of public whining irritates me more than any of the allegations aimed at either Louis or Jacqueline at this point, even if they were true. (And, to be honest, I couldn't care less if they are or not.) So grow up, take it off list, and stop spamming me with this crap. -- Steven Shelton Twilight Media Design www.TwilightMD.com www.GLOAMING.us - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

ENOUGH. Indeed. Thanks. As our mail list guidelines point out, these lists are for OOo use and collaboration, not for personal tirades. In case you are curious about which guidelines I refer to, see http:// www.openoffice.org/ml_guidelines.html Cheers, Louis - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Maybe it will help us keep posts like this off of this list and directed to the right place. Grievances should be directed to the Community Council. Personal attacks should be directed only at the intended victim. Not doing so creates collateral that is messy and really turns people off to constructive forums. If any user has problems with the project (OOo big or small; individual or overall stuff), then the Council is always there to hear the user. You can send things to [EMAIL PROTECTED], or directly to me or Laurent Godard, if you'd rather send them to him. (He's laurentgodard at openoffice.org). You can, also, if you like, send comments to the other council members. I just updated their email addresses. You can expect fair and reasonably quick responses to all submissions, though keep in mind it's holiday season.
