Good structure. It mixes the SDK and the various N-L versions, but this
is minor (the SDK is rarely downloaded anyway).

Writer save error

2013-04-01 Thread Keith Brown

Hi. I'm writing a book with a large number of equations and
cross-references in it and recently ran up against a problem saving the
file. There are approximately 4800 equations currently in the text and
many cross-references and figures. When I add equations I get a save
error: Error saving the document , General Error. General
input/output error.

I don't know if this is a bug in the program or a feature. Is there a
coded limit to the number of equations that can be put into a document? If
so, in what file in the source would I find it specifically?

Columns are a property of page styles and sections. For what you want,

I started on the integration of 2.2.9 because the project took care of
the handling different jdk and also the patches being applied were
integrated into the codebase. Overall I saw it as a better move to have
those issues taken care of and gain whatever advances that was made between
 2.2.9 and 1.8.x.

As fir the cws hsqldb19 branch, i did check through it and the patches
from there are currently being used. Beside that I didn't see any relevant
changes, for example the check for 1.8.x in the configure script. I ran
into that while working on another issue.

yes...I asked about this yesterday on one of the issues -- there is a
lovely patch! -- not yet submitted. Somewhat under discussion in:

 https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121837

Anyone wanting to deal with any hslqdb 2.2.9 will run into this problem.

One thing I am looking into at the moment is recovery in Base, that are
code that is checking for the version of hsql but I have not been able to
 locate it.

Any pointers or knowledge of the Base code would be most helpful since
just poking around is quite time consuming. I am learning quite a bit about
the code so it is not all bad.

4.0 status

2013-04-01 Thread Yue Helen
Maybe others have been looking at this...please step in if you are doing
this.

Given we are now close to Apr.5 (the planned regression test date), this
could be a good time for us to look at the current status for all the items
(features/enhancements) in 4.0.

I'm looking at the wiki page here,
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/AOO+4.0+Release+Planning.
Two questions here, 1) do we have more new items in 4.0? if yes, can people
help to add? 2) still quite some items are at the proposed status...we
may need to either update the status, or move some to future candidates.
Thoughts?

Thanks
Helen
