Help.. Build error about missing processdeps.awk under Windows7

2014-08-30 Thread Hung Mark
I'm bulding latest OpenOffice source code under Windows 7 (64-bit).

It complaint about missing processdeps.awk in gtest module (complete error
message in the attached file):

awk: fatal: can't open source file
`C:/cygwinc:/cygwin/home/mh/aoo/main/solenv/gbuild/processdeps.awk' for
reading (No such file or directory)

I found a similar post when searching the mailing list archive, it said
that the error message disappear after changing from source release to
subversion repository. I tried, but building code with subversion repos
does not solve the problem

Here is how I configure it:

export SourceMain=`pwd`
export SDK_PATH="/cygdrive/c/Program Files/Microsoft SDKs/Windows/v7.0"
autoconf && \
./configure \
 --with-frame-home="$SDK_PATH" \
 --with-psdk-home="$SDK_PATH" \
 --with-midl-path="$SDK_PATH/bin" \
 --disable-directx \
 --enable-dbgutil \
 --with-ant-home="/cygdrive/c/apache-ant-1.9.4" \
 --with-cl-home=/cygdrive/c/PROGRA~2/MICROS~1.0/VC \
 --with-java-home="/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/Java/jdk1.7.0_67/" \
 --with-dmake-url="
http://dmake.apache-extras.org.codespot.com/files/dmake-4.12.tar.bz2"; \
 --with-epm-url="http://www.msweet.org/files/project2/epm-3.7-source.tar.gz";
\
 --enable-pch \
 --disable-atl \
 --disable-activex \
 --disable-binfilter \
 --without-junit \
 --with-lang="en-US zh-TW"

When I check winenv.set.sh , there is still lots of environment variable
begin with "C:\",
I'm not sure if it is the cause of the problem. Could any one suggest how
to build it properly? Thanks.

The home page is already quite cluttered. But this could fit in the
footer. We currently have a 203x61 feather on the right hand side in the
footer. The logo Apache provides for ApacheCon would be 234x60, so quite
similarly sized. We could accommodate it in the footer, to the left.

I tried all the options discussed, but it didn't fit at all in the
header or in the download page (which in turn is already complex
enough). So I implemented the above solution, and you'll see it in the
site footer.

If anyone can do better, just improve it, no problem. But it's important
to have ApacheCon visible.

  Andrea.

Getting rid of installation/testarea

We have files (RPM and DEB packages and several other files, totalling

good reasons for keeping it.

Have you previously had OpenOffice installed on your computer, or is this a
first time install? What is the filetype (the three or four letter extension)
of your existing files?

How did you prepare this manuscript - what program did you use? Has it been
transferred from another computer? What file type is it?

The sooner you answer the above questions, the sooner someone can help, subject

I downloaded open office and now I can't open any old files.

2014-08-30 Thread schmac
mailto:dev-...@openoffice.appache.org

Help please:
I have two serious problems:

1. I downloaded Apache Open Office and now I can’t open any of my files. They
ball are locked.

2. Earlier today I downloaded an article called Mozilla support and Firefox.
It explains the basic set up but I don’t understand anything.

It says
1. Open a tab with the webpage you want to use and your home page button.
2. Drag and drop that tab onto the home page button.
There are 8 pages that might as well be Greek.
I don’t understand a word.
I am an educated woman and I HAVE USED A COMPUTER FOR 20 years, but my literacy
in these things is nil.

I have a scholarly manuscript ready for publishing, an now I can’t open even
one page of it and there are 24 chapters.
I am poor and can’t afford a technician.
I haven’t got time to mess around and wait.

Please list your OS and what are you doing to make it crash, if you
want upload your document so we can see if there is something on the
document that makes it crash etc. Share the link (dont attach it to
the email).

Thanks, I updated some very obsolete content there and in linked pages

As you go and read stuff, should you find anything clearly obsolete feel
free to edit it yourself or ask here how it should be modified.
