Re: Fwd: Packages from Unofficial Apache OO Debian repository updated to version 4.1.6

2019-03-27 Thread Marcus

The unofficial Apache OO Debian repository was updated and from now
it provides the version 4.1.6 of Apache Openoffice with all available
languages.

All information needed for new installations or upgrades are available
in the README file[1].

[1]https://sourceforge.net/projects/apacheoo-deb/files/debian/

thanks a lot for making this possible.

I've only a little request:

In the readme you are pointing to the "other.html" webpage. You have to
know that this is a very old version of our download system. It's
possible that the links are still working. If so, this is just by
accident and will not be guaranteed for the future.

Therefore please replace the URL with our official download webpage
"https://www.openoffice.org/download;. Please note also the HTTPS prefix.

Thank you very much for your help. :-)

thank you very much for using OpenOffice.

Please let me tell you that this is not the right place to discuss user
problems as it's the mailing list of the developers.

With such requests you will have more success and get more answers via
our user forums [1] or the users mailing list [2].

To give you a useful hint anyway:

You can install also the English version when you use the language pack.
Please make sure you use the same platform und OpenOffice version when
downloading.

Or you can remove the Korean version first, to be able to install the
English version.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

In what kind are they broken? Mistyped? Or faulty display?
Can you make a screenshot available?

You have to uninstall before you install the English version.
Then you can additionally install the Korean language pack.

Definitely!

However, the tag ends up as a "release" on GitHub [1]. But Infra is
aware of that:

The procedure is the same like for Release Candidates...

And even for releases: Infra said they don't need to be informed
(because AOO isn't mirrored anymore?)
