aoo 4 requires a new element "ToolBarItems", see below.

I am guessing, then, that an add-on with toolbars will no longer be
compatible between AOO and LO.

I'm Paolo, this afternoon, sent an email and asked him to update the extension.

I hope that the correct address is p_ma...@libero.it?

Sorry, but my statement is not true. I have to correct myself and say: a double
addon.xcu is _not_ working.

(My mistake was to install two *.xcu files simultaneously and it looked like
this as if it would work.)

it seems the code is tolerant to accept the invalid syntax. Did you try
it in an older version, 3.4.1?

It's probably not intended but if it works and don't crash. I haven
t checked the code. Ariel can tell us more

I tested it before I wrote, and it works fine. (in OOo 3.3.0 and AOO 4.0)

My question is rather whether it is permissible? Or is it a dirty workaround?

Thank you. Works.

But only works in AOO 4.0, so a question:

it is possible to use a 'double' addon.xcu? The following works for me, *but is
it allowed*?

Clear, but BasicAddonBuilder is a well-known extension (see:
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Extensions_Packager) and I hoped there would be
someone here already noticed, because BasicAddonBuilder is indeed more for
developers than for normal users.

Meanwhile, I have found similar problems with other extensions and would
therefore like to ask:

What is the problem with the following addon.xcu? This functions in AOO 3.4.1
(for example) but not in AOO 4.0.

http://openoffice.org/2001/registry";

%origin%/icons/image1

Color2Rows

_self

If the addon.xcu at all the cause, which is the toolbar is not visible?

As an example of such a non-visible toolbar (i mean: non-visible only in AOO
4.0), see Color2Rows:
http://prooo-box.org/live/addons/Color2rows/Color2Rows-2.0.5.oxt

not known but is the incompatible change and it is up to the extension
developer to change the addons.xcu (or corresponding config file)

BasicAddonBuilder - problem (addon.xcu?) in AOO 4.0

2013-08-09 Thread Jörg Schmidt
Hello,

The toolbar does not properly registered when installing the Basic Addon
Builder (0.5.0)?

That is, it is not possible to display the toolbar of Basic Addon Builder after
installation.

Is this already known?

My System:
AOO 4.0 and Windows7 (32Bit)

Note:
Manual start is working on BasicAddonBuilder-Main-RunWizard (in the
macro-dialog).

Greetings,
Jörg
