With the integration CWS slidecopy, a feature became available for
extensions to register arbitrary tool panels, to be displayed in a
per-application Task Pane (see
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Framework/Article/Tool_Panels
for a small documentation, and a Soylent Green screenshot :) ).

Those tool panels are organized in a tool panel deck, which basically is
what you know from Impress' Task Pane in current versions. One possible
layout for this tool panel deck is the "drawers", as shown in the
screenshot at the above side, and as known from Impress' Task Pane.

Another possible layout, which currently is not finalized, and thus not
available in the DEV300 builds, is a "tabbed" layout, where some kind of
tab bar (like in tabbed dialogs) is shown at the right/left hand side of
the tool panel deck, with one tab item per tool panel.

And "Panel Deck Tab Bar" is the Accessibility name for this thing.

Ciao
Frank

[dev] RE: Issue building OpenOffice under Windows

2010-06-22 Thread Ramón García Fernández

I am having exactly the same problem when building libxmlsecurity. I solved by
editing the makefile.mk of this module. I uncommented two lines with the
CONFIGURE_FLAGS, and quoted the arguments of the INC and LIB directories. These
lines are now:

CONFIGURE_FLAGS=crypto=$(CRYPTOLIB) debug=yes xslt=no iconv=no static=no
include="$(BASEINC)" lib="$(BASELIB)"

CONFIGURE_FLAGS=crypto=$(CRYPTOLIB) xslt=no iconv=no static=no
include="$(BASEINC)" lib="$(BASELIB)"

I checked that the file makefile.mk did not change in the most recent version
in the mercurial repository.
So I ask, is this supposed to compile cleanly under Windows? I can't see how,
if these lines are not uncommented.

Hello, I am builing OpenOffice under Windows using Cygwin and Visual Studio
Express. I am having some issues, some small, and others not so small.

I am using the DEV300_m79 milestone.

This is the last error that I am fighting (sorry for the messages in Spanish, I
could not yet find a way to change the language):

libxml2.lib was successfully installed and copied to
solver/300/wntmsci12.pro/lib/libxml2.lib. It seems that Microsoft linker is not
searching libraries in this directory. It is listed in the linker flags in
${SOLARLIB}.

On the other hand, what conditions should meet a new build system to be
accepted? I find the current one somewhat odd. It is a mixture of perl and
dmake. I could contribute a new one.

Hi Sophie,

Does one of you recognize his baby and could enlighten us (L10n people

[Panel Deck Tab Bar]

This string is located in the openoffice/accessibility/source/helper.po.

If I'm not wrong it must be this change:
http://hg.services.openoffice.org/DEV300/diff/88ad3a3f14bf/accessibility/source/helper/accessiblestrings.src
Integrated by CWS slidecopy (integrated into DEV300m81) by using issue
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=111236

Feature mail:

Maybe Frank Schoenheit can shed some light on this accessibility related

2010-06-22 Thread Thibault Vataire
Hi,

You can find documentation about this here :
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/Spreadsheets/Filter_Options

But there is also an empiric way :
1- open the document from the GUI
2- read the "FilterName" and "FilterOptions" properties of the correspondent
component. Use its "getArgs()" method to access these properties
(http://api.openoffice.org/docs/common/ref/com/sun/star/frame/XModel.html#getArgs).

Thanks. I think this seem like it should work. It was suggested by cor nouws

The problem with these filter fields or other properties is that i can't seem
to find any documentation as to what strings it accepts.

Hi,

To open you document programmatically, you can do that :

sub main

dim xComp as object
dim args(0) as new com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue

args(0).name = "FilterName"
args(0).value = "draw_pdf_import"

xComp =
starDesktop.loadComponentFromUrl(convertToUrl("/home/tvataire/Bureau/resultat.pdf"),
"_blank", com.sun.star.frame.FrameSearchFlag.CREATE, args)

end sub

This works on a pdf document previously created with Writer.
I'm working with OOo 3.2 on Ubuntu.

Thibault Vataire

Hi,

Can anyone help me on this? Is there a way to force a document to open with
draw programmatically?

Subject: [api-dev] pdf import programmatically

Hi all,

I am trying import pdf files to edit. I've installed the sun pdf import with
openoffice 3.1. Pdf files seem to open fine in draw when i open it from the
desktop.

However, when i use the loadComponentFromURL method, it opens the file with writer and encoded text
appears. I've also tried passing in "MediaType" in the mediadescriptor with the value of
"simpress8" but it doesn't work.

How can i programmatically force it to open with draw and return a XComponent
object?

Thanks.

Cheers,

Wei Min

The documentation for a filter should be available as a specification,
or possibly in the Developers' Guide, but these are not always easy to
find; they may not exist.

However, if you can successfully open a particular type of file by hand,
through the GUI, then you can find those specific settings easily: look
in the file! :-)

There are tools - the BASIC IDE is one - for inspecting an open file. If
I recall correctly, you need to find the Media Descriptor. It will have
the parameter names and value strings, including the filter name,
formatted exactly as you should use them.

[dev] partial installtation

2010-06-22 Thread xiaofeng08
Hi, OO folks,

Can I install just part of the openoffice.org, that is , choosing part of the
source and compiling and packaging it into a distribute one? For example, take
only
the writer and Calc.

Thanks

If that is truely the case, we should _really_ make
--with-use-shell=bash the default finally and make it _only_ produce a
bash environment script. Everything else is confusing as hell to
newcomers. Actually, we should change the default by now, regardless of
how well supported tcsh is:

See for
clarification; --with-use-shell is gone since DEV300_m77, dmake now
always uses bash; configure still produces to-be-sourced scripts for
both bash and tcsh, though (but note that these two things are rather
independent of each other).

[dev] Must Openoffoice be installed for UNO Program to run?

2010-06-22 Thread xiaofeng08
Hi, OO folks,
I have a simple question concerning about the UNO developement.

I wish to write a program with the utility of document editing, math equation
editing, which similar to the openoffice has.
If I use UNO to fulfill it, does the openoffice must be installed together?
Can I just install some component or something like that instead of the whole
openoffice program?

Further, is UNO appropriate for this task?
Do I need to take part of the source code and combine it together to fulfill my
task?

Thanks.
