I notice there are some references to GraphiteLayout in your stack

You could try disabling Graphite rendering temporarily by setting the
environment variable

SAL_DISABLE_GRAPHITE=1
before you restart OpenOffice and see if that prevents the problem.

thanks for your offer :-) , but currently as mentioned i have no time to try an
own build...
the reason why i ask for a debugging environment is, that i have a strange oo
crash
if i load special calc documents through COM. Crashes only happen if i load
the document a second or a third time - but not always ...

crash report tells me something like this:

Hi Maho,

Mostly source code oriented, and as reminder, there is the Education
Project.

The principle is to welcome and mentor students, associated with
schools, including a professor, or any representative people, as
contact.
The goal is to work on simple pieces of code, and write, invent,
simply have Fun with OpenOffice.org style of code.

As recent example, the Education Project contributed to improve the
Equation editor (see tlmath01, and the famous issue 972).
Everything is hosted at EducOOo (non profit association
OpenOffice.org dedicated) wiki, but everything is free :)

dev-uc.1289935091.behinmbjoebnchldlale-sgautier.ooo=free...@openoffice.org

Usually, this happens when you just hit the "reply" button.
If this does not work, simply copy the address and paste it into
the "To:" field of a new message.

I haven't checked whether your address is currently on the mailing list.
To see what address you used to subscribe, look at the messages you are
receiving from the mailing list. Each message has your address hidden
inside its return path; for example, m...@xdd.ff.com receives messages
with return path:-mary=xdd.ff@openoffice.org.

Some mail programs are broken and cannot handle long addresses. If you
cannot reply to this request, instead send a message to
and put the entire address listed above
into the "Subject:" line.

I can handle administrative requests automatically. Please
do not send them to the list address! Instead, send
your message to the correct command address:

To remove your address from the list, send a message to:

Send mail to the following for info and FAQ for this list:

Similar addresses exist for the digest list:

To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456 , mail:

They are always returned as sets of 100, max 2000 per request,
so you'll actually get 100-499.

To receive all messages with the same subject as message 12345,
send an empty message to:

The messages do not really need to be empty, but I will ignore
their content. Only the ADDRESS you send to is important.

You can start a subscription for an alternate address,
for example "j...@host.domain", just add a hyphen and your
address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word:

To stop subscription for this address, mail:

In both cases, I'll send a confirmation message to that address. When
you receive it, simply reply to it to complete your subscription.

"ExtensionManager" and "UpdateInformationProvider" -> indeed appears to
be a problem with the thread that polls for extension updates, as
already suggested by Mathias. Dirk (on cc) might know more.

Just a wild guess (the exactly timed crash makes we wonder): do you have
auto-update notification enabled? If yes, maybe it helps to deactivate it and
immediately shut down OOo and restart.

You hit the nail on the head. I turned off "check for updates automatically",
it doesn't crash any more.

Thanks,

OK, this is a different core file, it appears Adobe Flash crashed last night
and over written the OOO core file. But is was easy to recreate.

Thanks for any help.

[dev] cws gnumake2 will soon be integrated ...

2010-11-16 Thread Björn Michaelsen
Hi all,

this is a short heads-up to all that the GNU make based build system
will soon be integrated. I started blogging about the changes this will
will bring at:

 http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/gbuild_to_boldy_go_where

and will try to keep the posts coming over the next days. If you are
working on the DEV300 codeline now might be the right time to get
comfortable with the new system.

Brace for impact! ;-)

Best Regards,

Bjoern

 is at DEV300_m85,
and there are ca. 2000 changesets between DEV300_m85 and current
DEV300_m93. They would all need to be pushed if you updated your local

Hi,

could you please generate a callstack ? You could use the command
'pstack' to generate it from the core file.

My platform OS - Solaris Express 11 (b151a)
Hardware - HP Z800 Dual 5590 processors, 24 gig ram

When I start OOO exactly 55 seconds later I get a core dump, leaving the
program alone, non-interactive, it happens by itself. The core dumps
started with m92 on Opensolaris b134. I upgraded today to Solaris
Express 11 and installed m93 and still the same core dump.

Kind regards, Joost
